Using the idea that drinking a vampire's blood gives you minor characteristics of vampirism, but also binds you strongly to that vampire, you could extend that pretty easily to youkai. If one wanted you to serve her, she could start putting drops of her blood in food she makes for you.
Eating a youkai that you killed would, by that logic, give you the same benefits, but none of the drawbacks, as the binding youkai is dead. You'd take on more and more youkai characteristics yourself as you ate them, though, and eventually stop being human at all without realizing it. Then get fortune teller'd.
