Miku is imo the most overrated thing ever to come from Japan.

She's nothing but a mascot for a fucking voice synth program, and just because she's hot a huge fanbase blew it out of proportion xinfinite. What annoys me is that almost no one actually uses Vocaloid, they just like Miku because she's cute. I actually have Vocaloid and it's not even that great. It cannot sing in English for shit. I guess once the BRS OVA comes out there will be a bit more substance, but I'm 90% sure that that's going to be little more than a bundle of music videos unless they went out of their way to you know, make an actual character wit substance.

At least there are plenty of people out there who actually play the Touhou games on top of being rabid fans, however Miku is little more than a fanart movement. It takes the liberal extrapolation of character personalities derived from Touhou fans and blows it to shit, going from "expanding on some general, scant official info" to "expanding on nothing".

Vis a vis, don't feel bad about not getting her OP, as in a few years we'll all realize how silly and pointless this whole ordeal is.

Rare nendos are expensive, that's that. It's not that they don't make a lot of Mikus, it's just that the absolutely insane demand vs supply drives the price.

Similarly the Touhou figma/nendos also cost an eye and a leg. At least they're actually rare/limited though, so that's more understandable.
