I imagine it’s pretty common, at least with the people who draw on the ema. I remember seeing a few wishing for Touhou to become popular last time I was here. And yeah I think that is Doraemon.

Here. I last went in early autumn, it was even more beautiful then. The Moriya gang’s home is unironically probably my favorite place in Japan. It’s just so beautiful.

To me, Suwa is the closest you can get to being in Gensokyo. And considering the fact that the Moriya gang exists and how ZUN grew up close by, I bet it’s not too far from the truth. I bet it’s even better if you go camping on the mountains. Here’s a picture from when I was there in the fall.
