Meanwhile releasing a regular gacha that doesn't have a big advertising budget behind it and at least high quality visuals is pretty much a death sentence. And Mihoyo will be releasing even more games making the situation worse.

Mihoyo is just completely dominating the anime gacha market, especially in China. Currently they are 70% of the entire market, so it just gets more and more difficult for competitors to survive. And with at least three more new Mihoyo games coming, the chinese mobile market might as well be renamed the Mihoyo market, with Mihoyo games competing entirely against each other.

The situation isn't as dire in Japan, but with Honkai Star Rail now eating another big slice of the pie, it just gets harder for new games to do well...
