The grindan is really easy as far as KMMOs go, and the lag was alright. My major complaint was that the movement and the jumping was still really glitchy; sometimes you would teleport a bit, or go through objects, or your character would even run in the opposite direction that you were telling it to go.

Quake Live doesn't have persistent servers, at least, not to my knowledge. There is quite a big difference in maintenance and upkeep costs compared to persistent servers.

Honestly, I have no problem with people that fork out money getting an advantage, as long as other players can be on equal footing by investing a lot of time into the game. Time = money. That can easily be incorporated by making cash shop items tradeable in-game.

As for in-game advertisements, no. Just no. I quit EQ2 over that crap. I don't need to see Pizza Hut ads in-game, thanks.

Most of the leveling (so far to 30, at least) is done through quests. If you do all the quests you won't find yourself truly grinding very often at all.

Personally, I only had to stop and do it once, around level 15, IIRC. And even then it only took me about 40 minutes to hit 16 and get new quests.

Lag seems variable. I didn't encounter any at all, but some people seem to have problems with it.

"Lag" I get is mostly performance lag, so huge raids are almost unplayable. Recommended requirements lied to me. Grind is mostly easy, just some quests send you back to kill the same shit again or you spend a long time in the same area. EXP bonus from grouping seems to be ridiculously good, like a 6 man group only cuts down your EXP to 40% or something.

Actually the first one to die is Movie, one of their Rifles.

Cine died right after, so it was still 5 v 5, but their team had much lower DPS in general. We still had 3 DGs who seemed to survive by stealthing and spamming pots when necessary, the paladin who is loltier at not dying, and the warrior who is pretty tough, but also has several stuns to keep himself from getting rapelocked.

They had two clerics, a warrior, a paladin, and one rifle. They had healing, but no damage, we had tons and tons of damage, so we just kept alive and killed them.

If you notice right after Cine dies, most of the team drops to critical really fast, but manage to keep from actually dying.

As for gear, everyone more or less had the same things because of the level cap. No idea how upgraded/enchanted their stuff was though.

The drama between the guilds in other nations that lost is hilarious, especially those children from Empire; and on the counter-point, the complete lack of such from Lust after losing to us is commendable. It seems like Lust is in good hands.

We just need to secure the ability to either alliance talk or nation talk so that we have some ability to compete with Alethius, as they've had nation chat for the entire CB. Sure is fairness. At least we finally have the buffs now.

Shitty decoy cleric here. These guys were really bad. You might notice me on the outskirts of battle throwing buffs in on occasion. A lot of the time, they had one or two of their damage guys chasing me, which means they only had a couple of attackers to commit to the meatgrinder when I wasn't eating dirt. Maybe it works for sissy support clerics but I was dragged in off the street with a tanking/AoE farming build with nothing interruptible and all the survival ability I can squeeze in. I couldn't even heal if they had let me. Good job paying attention to your primary, Lust dudes.
