I think the point is Reimu is typically unga bunga "shoot first ask later" simpleton in the games that'd just fight the problem with violence regardless of repercussions

I'm not quite sure yet why Aya wrote her name on that stone, but I think >>43308061 is right.
The barrier obviously doesn't block everything, as light, sound, and probably air too can pass through. So it need to know what to actually block.

This somewhat reminds me of how the Hakurei barrier itself works, like you can see the stars in the sky but not an airplane flying above you, and only some things can go in or out. But I guess creating magic barriers up to a certain point isn't that special for some beings in this world, so I'm not sold yet on Mizuchi having a connection to the Hakurei, even though it could make sense.

I also think it would be quite interesting that the Jailbreak King has the ability to create prisons herself. As "possessing people" isn't really something unique for a vengeful spirit, "creating and escaping prisons" would be fitting as her true ability.

I'm skeptical at the idea of Mizuchi meeting specific hus that'd be her counter. We don't even see Murasa this chapter despite being the "captain" of Myouren temple and fellow vengeful spirit that likely could harm Mizuchi, PoFV being completely skipped because Eiki and Komachi could just send her back to hell, etc.
Anyone that could take away the "tension" and "mystery" would be mysteriously taken out of picture.

Perhaps its related, but Reimu's power is more like twisting space itself around rather than just a normal barrier. She's probably at least dead sage though, since the other sages seems to have similar abilities of making boundaries, barriers, and/or locking or hiding things away.

Actually Aya just likes writing her name on rocks. It's something she does.

As simple as you make it sound, that would require a few too many assumptions that it becomes unfeasible.
For one, Aya would have to be skillful enough in barrier magic to tell, in a glance and without prior interaction, what sort of special effect the barrier has.
Two, the person who formed the barrier had to be both skillful enough to catch Aya off-guard, and sloppy enough that a simple "name on stone" can be used to reveal its nature.

Fantasy Heaven's OP attributes were coined by ZUN himself, but Reimu is awfully humble not to use it in the written works so far. I got a feeling Mizuchi has taken the yamabiko. She's only listening and not regurgitating sutras or things she's heard as she usually does whilst she works. She was also with Nazrin when she heard the scream but is the only one who didn't show up to investigate and shown later being shifty in the graveyard. The barrier might not be Mizuchi's I cannot see any point in trapping everyone inside the place especially both Reimu and Marisa together unless it's only there so she can escape easily. It could be Yukari or Reimu set it up to ensure nobody can leave or enter. Mizuchi's next target should be the Holy Mausoleum which just so happens to be below Myouren Temple and I think that's what Kyouko/Mizuchi was looking for in the graveyard.
