ITT it's 1999.

Were you still one of the uninitiated? Had the infection already begun to take hold?

>> No.433206

I party.

>> No.433210

I didn't start down the path to ruin until Tenchi Muyo aired...

>> No.433214

>>433210

Incidentally, I also fought off Lavos around this time.

>> No.433219

I am the Y2K bug.

>> No.433223

around 1999 I was already watching cowboy bebop on locomotion.

then blue seed, etc.

>> No.433228

I was terrified all of 1999 that lavos would spring out of the ground and kill me.

>> No.433240

burn up. the ORIGINAL anime. 1991
i have more experience than the average anon, but i am around that age.

>> No.433235

I started watching anime with Tranzor Z back in 1984, after that Robotech, took some years to discover Ranma 1/2 in 1994. As for games I had Pacman on my Atari when I was about 8 years old, moved on to Mario, Final Fantasy, and Dragon Warrior on NES. So I guess I'm an older anime and japanese video game fan

>> No.433259

hoho, my first exposure to anime was Iria the animation on Sci-fi.

>> No.433263

I started with Tekkaman Blade when I was a wee lad, saw Macross right before they launched macross, then saw the usual fare. Tenchi muyo, gundam wing, outlaw star, etc.

>> No.433275

It started with My Neighbor Totoro around 95 and was a snowballing effect from then on.

I still haven't actually seen any Macross except for one movie that I watched through the halfassed scrambling they had on the premium channels back in the day, so I still haven't actually "watched" any part of it.

>> No.433286

Back in '99 I was a huge DBZ otaku. Collected everything I could get my hands on.

>> No.433302

1999? i think is around when first started using internet to any degree, before that, we didnt have internet in the house, so all i had were burned copies of old 90's anime from a friend
fond memories of hand maid may

>> No.433303

Too bad the average 4chan user is too young to remember 99' clearly

>> No.433323

I was watching Doraemon, Sazaesan, Dragon Ball, Mahoujin Guruguru, and just shit like that. I was really into Rockman games back then too.

Fuck, I miss having no care in the world. I want to turn time back, redo everything, and have a normal life again..

>> No.433450

>>433403
Yeah, that sounds about right for me.

>>433228
Hey, at least you wouldn't have to hear that creepy-ass roar that it does when it kills you.

What I was doing in 1999?

>> No.433470

1999...

Pokemon and Digimon, FUCK YEAH

>> No.433471

The infection had long since taken hold. I had been playing RPGs and watching dubbed animu (all I could get, faggots!) for years by then.

>> No.433475

First anime was Dagger of Kamui a long time ago on VHS. Watched Gunbuster, Bubblegum Crisis and Appleseed at a neighbors house. Then nothing for a long time until Viz released the first Ranma 1/2 movie.

>> No.433627

I was in a coma for most of 1999. Car accident.

>> No.433665

Ahhh 1999, to think that back then I thought I'd get a girlfriend eventually. HAHAHAHAHA!
