Did someone manage to complete Kishin Hishou running natively on Windows 10? After few hours found a persistent crash in the battle where you control Demonbane for the first time in the story (not the intro against Liber Legis). Okay, under a slightly closer inspection of the CG rip of the Steam version, I think Poison at least removed any sex scenes with these heroines that involved them wearing their school uniforms. As pretty much any of those scenes that do have them are straight up missing. I'd assume they did do a little bit of their homework to have known to do that. Their uniformed sprites are still in the game, though. And I think this usually does get a fly now a days, as Oppai Academy did similarly anyway. The red light is having heroines wearing school uniforms engaging in sex, but them just wearing it normally fair game (otherwise ecchi games like Senran Kagura would never have been allowed on the platform to begin with). That said, their level of greediness quite honestly surprises me given that they had the gall to release this nukige on Steam with MTL English and Chinese in it. Why even bother at that point? Do they think that will net them more sales off idiots that don't read the MTL disclaimer on their store page? The only people that would read MTL for a Japanese game will settle with their text hookers instead anyway.

So far the only example is Miel, who have 100% stopped making games set in high school specifically so they can release all their games on steam and make money, but with the new Yuzusoft game trial having a number of files for a steam release in there it seems like more and more devs are at least keeping a steam release in mind. Nah, there's not much in the way of building up with the scenes as far as the sex goes. It's more entertaining to spend one of the 4 chapter waves on a girl, then the next wave is another girl, and so on. It makes the experience feel like an actual harem game where the protagonist bumps into another girl every other minute and then fucks their brains out. The problem is that the chapter scenes are kind of disconnected from the rest of the waves, so you can't really do waves that would make chapter scenes make sense. Like, I think you can probably do Olga's first scene to make the chapter where the protagonist has sex with her in the chapter scene make more sense (since that first scene is a virgin sex scene) but there is still some inconsistencies down the line in other chapters.

What settings people here use in Magpie for decent upscaling?

Lanczos is too blurry and has aliasing artifacts.
FSR has some strange artifacts which make text edges look disgusting.
FSRCNNX creates terrible ringing.
ACNet washes out details and creates watercolor artifacts.
Anime4K creates terrible watercolor artifacts and washes out small details too.
RAVU_Zoom_R3 seems like a decent compromise between sharpness, non-jagged edges, details, and ease of use due to arbitrary resize ratios but it has quite noticeable ringing, though it's not as bad as FSRCNNX.

Am I missing something?

I didn't like Kuroinu or Kuroinu 2 as much as Elfen King. I played the trial version of Elfen King and made the decision to want to read it on day one of release and avoid any spoilers. I am glad that I know how to read Japanese.
