Any good LN series for around an N3 learner? Preferably with furigana (my kanji sucks) but not absolutely necessary if it's N3-ish level.

I installed vmware workstation to create a vm with arch to follow tatsumoto's guide. I took at least 6 hours just to have a working desktop environment set up (gnome).
Ok, next step, type in Japanese, let's gooo. Literally couldn't get it to work, fcitx-configtools will never open, ever. Tatsumoto doesn't even bother explaining Xorg or whatever, he just says: "Oh, you use this? cool what a chad, use these commands and bada bing bada boom and it works". Then, I found he hid that Gnome has some sort of IME preinstalled, and I still couldn't get it to work.
I just gave up, honestly. He sweet-talked me into all this libre software crap, and shit literally doesn't ever work, plus I'm losing storage space to host this shit and it keeps stuttering sometimes. In hindsight, I probably should've used ubuntu since I'm a noob, but damn, what a faggot. Hours wasted for nothing.

got absolutely sloshed yesterday and when i was speaking japanese i entered this flowstate that ive never been in before. usually i'll have moments where i either have to stall with あの、ええと、その、なんか、なんだろう、なんていうか、まああ et al until i can either remember a word, look it up in the dictionary or come up with a way to convey what i want to say in a roundabout way without having remember the specific word i need. yesterday i dont think that happened once, it all just came to me.

also felt like how i structured my sentences was more grammatically correct and there were less cases of 違和感 being produced. i asked my friend to 100% honestly tell me how my japanese was in terms of that and he said it was very good. so i can take this 2 ways, either im dunning krugering myself cause i was smashed and he was also bullshitting me, or i can take it at face value. doesn't really change anything either which way tbf

Me and my friend's family are in Japan right now. Everyone here is at a reletively decent weight, except for me (23F 5'5 270lbs) This is somewhere I've always wanted to visit and explore and buy merch at. And now, I'm counting the days to go home. I bought special feet pads to help me walk, but my ankles are destroying me. I'm sucking it up and still walk at a normal pace, but everyone is rushing around which makes them have to wait... which makes them irritated. We were going to the observation deck in Tokyo (a reservation was made), but some were late getting ready, so we had to rush to the trains. I couldn't keep up, so they suggested I head back so "they don't lose me". Which is valid, but we all know where it stems from. I just feel so... disappointed in myself. My ankles hurt so much. I'm trying my best. And I'm kicking myself for not losing weight like I planned to before this trip. I want to stay home now, so I'm not a burden and slow them down. I cried the entire walk home and my friend is trying to console me, but its not really working. Honestly, once I'm back, I will have to remember this humiliation to actually try to lose weight. Why am I being attacked while learning Japanese?

I've gone through the whole Wanikani because I had nothing to do while commuting. A year passed since then and I'm starting to forget a lot - and it's not like I was ever reading fluently. It would be sad to just forget it all though.
I need something to read at my work PC, but it can't be obvious what I'm doing when looked at from afar, so no manga. NHK's News Web Easy is a bit too easy and normal NHK is too complicated with all the names of people and institutions. What should I look for? I have my doubts about web novels since they may not have any QC before being published. Social media sites are blocked, so that's a no go either. I'm open to any other suggestions for intermediate stuff that's not garbled.
