Mokou walked up to the Hakurei Shrine, the only human settlement she had visited repeatedly for the last millennium.
"Hello? Is Reimu still a shrine maiden here?"

"Hold on!"
A young girl, with dark brown hair, dressed in red and white came from outside the shrine in a hurry.
"Um, who were you asking for?," she asks in a huff.

"Reimu." Mokou replies.

"I don't believe any 'Reimu's live here at the moment... My grandmother was named that, though."

"Is that so? Well, that's to be expected I suppose. Haven't been here in nary a century. Humans often die in that time." Mokou idly scoffed, wondering why she had grown attached to this lineage.

The girl was somewhat confused. "Are you some ancient youkai who knew my grandmother?," she wondered.

Mokou laughed, "No, no. No youkai could hold the term 'ancient' compared to me. Actually, I just visit the Hakurei shrine and get to know the current maiden every hundred years. I've kept this tradition since Reimu."

"My grandmother?"

Mokou laughed, a bit softer this time, "No, your grandmother was the fifth Reimu I've met so far."

that means she is 1200-1800 years old.
at most, she has 600 years seperating her from yukari.
in 2500 years, the ages are 3700-4300. she can't say that yukari isn't anchient in her standards. and that's the optimist view.
both can live to infinity. it's like saying a 4 year old girl who just had her birthday is way older than a 3 year old girl that her birthday coming up.
