Hey, /jp/!

I know I haven't been very dedicated in the past few weeks and my threads vanished rather quickly, but since we are getting closer and closer to Valentine's Day now, I can't help but feel the need to express my love for my Aya-sama at every possible moment. And as always, I'd like to share my love for her with you.

That being said, enjoy the thread! ♥

Oh, before I forget: There is an all-new Valentine's Day-themed episode of Ayadake TV coming up on Thursday. Be sure not to miss it!

I did, and I've watched the first three episodes so far. As someone who likes AKB48, I enjoy seeing the girls trying to act all tough (Yuko's expression in the opening video still scares me a little). I'm glad Maeda gets so much screen time, although the lack of Yuko's presence is a little disappointing. But it seems the upcoming episode(s) are going to fix that.
However, being that this seems to be a show that is mostly targeted towards fans of the group, both the acting and the writing are pretty bad for the most part, but I expected nothing else. I'm willing to see past all that and am going to keep watching.

Oh, I'm glad to hear that.
And yeah, the acting (Actually, the extras just get too many lines for my liking. And damn, is there a lot of them.) and writing are quite clichèd but I suppose that this is just what they were aiming for. Obviously, being a comedy and all, taking the plot all that seriously is the last thing you can do. I think that for the most part all that is needed is just some getting used to and some suspension of disbelief for the most intentionally eyebrow-raising scenes (Gakuran taking a baseball bat on the back, I'm looking at you).
Still and all, I just can't say it doesn't deliver on its promise for plenty of action sequences, bizarre challengers and yankii-themed antics. I'd almost say it's pretty shonen-like in its way of having Maeda face off a new friend/foe in each episode.
Anyway, you'll see it with your own eyes to what limits they can push all of this after you are finished watching the fourth episode (Which has been finished subbing just yesterday, so I hope you started grabbing the good subs instead of the half-assed ones).

Speaking of the fourth episode, I can already tell you there's definitely much more than screentime for Yuko than in the previous ones. And seeing how there's this subplot about Maeda visiting her at the hospital going on, you're pretty much guaranteed for more of her in future.

I have been grabbing the subs from AKB-48.com, I'm guessing those are the good ones. Or at least I hope so, since the other subber doesn't seem to release an HD version.
