Smart Doll Cocoa exists, but SmD only comes in 1/3 size and whether or not the sculpts are to your taste is highly up to personal preference.

Put another way, this and >>42688377 are the same doll. Some of the newer sculpts aren't so dramatic, but they might not suit what you're looking for. If you want anything 1/4 scale or with more moe aesthetics, Tinyfox is the most accessible option right now.

Volks also sells a few tan dolls. Thier "sun skin" is absolutely lighter and much more of a pain in the ass to get. >>42682450 Picrel here is a limited release DD Anthy Himemiya in their "Tawny" skintone, which is only available for this doll and the Dollfie Icons (vinyl dolls with Super Dollfie aesthetics,) all of which are 1/3 scale. There are also two limited releases in a slightly more orange tan, the old DDdy Kanu character doll, and Volks Dollfie Dream Lost Angel's Story Sanjie, which is both rare, old, 1/3 scale, and has painted-on eyes and rooted hair to boot.

Aside from that, you have TinyFox, Imomodoll, and some resin companies (Aimerai, 2D Doll), but I don't think the latter two are selling tan anime-style dolls at the time of writing, unfortunately. Finding tan/brown anime dolls is never easy.

You can also dye your own, if nothing else. Results will vary. I personally recommend i-Dye Poly, but Rit Dyemore also gets recommended. It must be a dye for synthetics, natural dyes won't touch vinyl. Additionally, dyed dolls will lighten significantly in the weeks post-dye, so the rule of thumb is to dye far darker than you actually want and hope the color mellows to what you wanted. These dolls are also more sensitive to light-based color changes afterwards, so keep this in mind. Alternatively, some people also spray-paint dolls the color they want. If you use proper leather/vinyl paints it can work decently, but friction from moving parts eventually wears away the paint and it will need touch-ups down the line.

Mandarake's online offerings are a tiny fraction of their entire retail inventory across all the stores. It's absolutely worth it to go in person and see what insane shit you can (sometimes literally) dig up (from the bucket of vinyl doll bodies where my friend found me an Obitsu 55 male body.) As for the Volks stores, you can buy things they literally refuse to sell online/overseas there, like Tan option parts and limited wigs/outfits/eyes/etc, as well as Dream Choice, where you can get a custom doll to your specifications (which they will ship home, you can't take it with you.) This includes their elusive Tan and Male body options.

Beyond that, Japan is nuts in that not only are there doll specialty shops for Volks/SmD/Azone/etc, you can also go to just, any store and potentially find doll-adjacent shit. A friend sent me some backdrops they found in a 100y store (like Dollar Tree in the states,) and thanks to the sheer volume of hobbies that people partake in there, niche tools for crafting are in easy supply. All of the above mostly pertains to touristy destinations like Tokyo, but you can find Mandarake all over Japan.

TL;DR no matter where you go, your wallet is in danger.

There are a few straps of miniature Olympus cameras that you can find on Yahoo! Auctions. They seem to work all right with MDDs. I don't know if that's what was used in that photo. I have one like the OM-1 that's currently listed, but mine has a silver body instead of all black. Search for "Olympus ミニチュア" on Yahoo! Auctions if you want to have a look. You could also search "ミニチュア　カメラ" for more general camera results, but there are some real cameras that come up, and some that look really shitty, and some of unknown scales, but you might find something good there too.

What size of Azone do you mean? All of them should have detachable heads if there's a joint there but depending on the size the method of removal will change. If you have a small rooted hair doll (most picco/pureneemo) then the head should be squishy enough to squeeze gently on the sides and wiggle off the head peg (just try not to touch the face paint or deform the face too much in case you damage it).

Yeah, I added it after, I'm still learning how to do green screen effects and grabbed the photo without thinking it through. It does look better blurred more. Oh well. This is the first one I tried, but it kept giving me this blue haze around her that was driving me nuts. I need to watch some more tutorials.

not that I'm an expert, but you really need to decide what you're going to composite in before hand, and match the lighting to that
it doesn't have to be 100% (color grading is a thing you obviously know)
but the feel of the shading in the background and the subject are very different in both your pics
the first scene doesn't have a strong directional source plus is foggy so you'd want very diffuse shadows
the only directional light visible in the scene is directly behind the subject, so you can just pretend there's another one in front — but it should be at a similar level (not from above) to keep the same feel
the second one has strong sunlight but the subject location is right under a tree, so you'd get more indirect light (might be able to simulate this with diffuse "studio" lights, I'd start with one directly above and add another from the side, possibly desaturated green since the side lighting is reflecting off grass)

Mine haven't yet, but anything's possible. If you're worried, Mr. Super Clear Matte UV Cut should help, but if your doll has a custom faceup already, it was probably already sprayed down with it. All dolls yellow with time due to the oxidation effect of the air, so if it happens, it isn't your fault.
