At the same time, this cockblocks ORT from getting any lunch because humanity puts their chips on their hero and king. ORT and Camatoz fight for millions of years until he can finally rip its heart. Without a source of energy+plus battle of attrition shit, ORT is fucked. But the timeline gets pruned because humanity is unable to return with the surface so fucked up and damaged after their battle, they can't go back.

It's because unlike most games in this genre, Mahoyo doesn't actually have a lot of autistic screaming and yelling. It sound silly I know, but big dramatic moments in chuu2 often hinges on stuff like that. So the voices there, while certainly fine, weren't life changing or anything. Where they do stand out, as you pointed out, is in the slice of life and comedic parts. The Soujuurou, Kinomi, and Tobimaru trio really comes to life with voices.
