dlc is great too, and do try the raid/multiplayer even if not really into that sort of thing, its worth playing a few times

When I watch Japanese content with subtitles, I focus on what's been spoken, like the actual Japanese audio, while also reading the English subs. I'm usually able to successfully relate the audio input to the eng subs, as in like "Yep, that's what that meant", the grammar and vocabulary makes sense to me.

But as soon as I turn off the subs, my comprehension level drops by at least by 50%. It gets so much harder to understand what's being said. Unless it's something I'm rewatching and the first watch was recent.

It's been this way for years now and idk how to surpass this "level".
