sup /jp/ higurashi mindfuck idea here (or i am i already slow on this)
if you take the part of umineko 6 (spoilers for that) about featherine and assume she wrote a false ending of the hinamizawa tragedy where rika escaped in another universe, then the whole takano thing was probably bullshit infact didnt ryukishi admit his higurashi ending was a copout with the parasite? the definite facts of higurashi are that everyone died in the volcanic gas and akasaka and ooishi wrote a book asking people to solve the mystery. the only supernatural elements in higurashi are then that:
-rika knew akasakas wife was going to die and warned him. featherine assumed it was because she is magic but it couldve actually still been done by sonozaki yakuza members as revenge for him meddling in the village. rika was in on it and cut the phone lines so he couldnt contact and save his wife.
-rika predicted her own death. if the part about oyashiro-sama being sacrificed in rei hanyuu told is still correct then maybe rika was always born to be a sacrifice in some ritual by the villagers as she was the 8th girl in a row and she simply knew her fate from birth. what does /jp/ think about this

Only read a quarter of what you posted but from what we know of Higurashi canon is that the Syndrome is caused by brainparasites. And depending on what canon you follow (Alchemist or 07th) the only difference is whether they're from space or not.
