I think the focus should be on how a day unfolds instead of looking for ways to skip them. A full clock to the seconds is nice and all until you realize you start trying to waste time so you can be on a precise hour, match a 2hu's schedule or even want to end the day. Counterpoint - seasons are way too short in TW. 1 month isn't doing it for me, but I can also understand that some people don't want to deal with constant snowstorm for 3 months, so skipping time is a worthwhile feature. Hell you might want to just skip the existing 1 month of winter since there's pretty much nothing to do except collecting ice. You know, you could make it use both systems, just select at the beginning if your save uses a 120 days year or a 365 one.
