The silicone is too soft but this is why we want them to begin with. Their main market is Asian which makes the holes tighter. I don't know why they don't compensate for thickness but the tunnel being "long" is a mystery to me. Cleaning them out is never fun but it's okay if you don't come in them to leave them for a day. Silicone can be sterilized and you can use alcohol solutions if it gets stinky.
