>I read up on everything and I can connect just fine, but no matter which gate I choose 2ch will still say its blocked/restricted when i try to post
5ch posting restrictions are infamous, they are kind of random and flicker on/off for tons of people. I would just cycle through a bunch of public IPs and if that doesn't work get a cheap VPN like cyberghost. It's a good place to ask questions, I usually say I'm a gaijin so they don't accuse me of being korean off the bat

Also this doesn't replace TLMC v.19, I'll just copy his post down below

>This torrent contains only new content relative to TLMC v.19, so if you want a complete collection you need both. There are several things you could do. Most obvious, clean and suggested solution would be to keep v.19 and this torrent in two separate directories, then union-mount contents of both to a single location. Unfortunately not an option if you're on Windows. Another way is just to point both to a single directory and create a giant mess, then if/when I release proper next version ask your torrent client to delete this torrent together with its files or ask me for a python script to delete all files belonging to a single torrent if your client can't cleanly do this itself.
>
>Collection status:
>- directory names (circle/artist/album/release date): mostly ok, but event names could be shortened
>- audio files: needs further deduplication, some albums need ctdb repair, some albums need conversion to 16/44 (anything higher is a sad reminder about the state of modern education), everything needs a uniform naming scheme to make automatic creation of cuesheets possible
>- digital cover versions: many albums still have better alternatives
>- cover scans: as good as it can get, I'm just relaying what I got 1:1, nothing to do here

I've got not much to really add beyond telling the vtween to kill himself as that's like the third time I've seen him make this exact kind of post this week, and this website that sometimes lets you get sources from twitter posts. I've seen it work for posts with 10 likes and I've seen it fail with ones that had 10000 so just be wary that it might not work. Better than Google now since they re-did the reverse image search algorithm to automatically crop shit after a certain size, and re-sizing the crop gives you less results than if you just shrink down the image and search with a "full" crop yourself.

This has been mentioned before in other threads, but it might be worth mentioning again. One strategy to circumvent region blocking is to make use of the University of Tsukuba’s project, vpngate.net, by selecting a newly listed Japanese server. It can be hit and miss in regards to posting on Japanese IBs, but it can work.
I don’t endorse the SoftEther VPN Gate client and would not recommend using it, but it is not necessary as many of the VPNs listed at VPN Gate also have OpenVPN config files available. It’s a free service, so do keep that in mind as far as opsec is concerned.

Groundbreaking

This one is interesting since it's a yearly compilation of songs from the BMS of Fighters. A lot of well known doujin musicians got their start there and some of them even went on to do songs for arcade rhythm games.
If you like games like IIDX definitely check out BOF and BMS stuff in general. You can read more about it here

figure i'll ask here since i don't know where it would be appropriate otherwise and i don't think its worth making a thread about it
Does anyone know and can recommend me touhou written fanworks? like, just written stories, not manga, preferably not ones written by western fans? and preferably translated in english too. any genre is fine
if you have good western stories feel free to recommend them too.
sorry if i sound picky i just want to know if the thing i'm thinking about even exists

a bit of everything, from mistery and adventure to romance or even erotica
i actually already read lots of western fanfictions, was wondering if there was anything on eastern ones. but if i can find any good western stories i haven't already read i'm still happy

You're not really going to find many of this for specific written works, sadly. There was a single Yuuka fic I read that was translated by the author himself like 10 years ago on his website, but I don't remember it nor do I think it was actually good in the first place. As for western fanfics literally the only one I know by name that isn't fapbait is Imperfect Metamorphisis and I'm going to tell you straight-up that it's a hot dumpster fire so I've got naught to really offer. You'll find much better luck with the doujin scene but as I'm a pleb whose knowledge of that goes not really much farther than dynastyscans I'm not even sure how to begin to tell you how to go about your way.

yeah i realize its a very niche interest in an already niche field. i just hope to luck out, maybe if someone knowledgeable points me towards untranslated writings i could figure something out
>You'll find much better luck with the doujin scene
oh sure i know of that and i've read several doujin, but i like reading pure text

Does anyone here use Share? I tried starting it out and it gave me a "Runtime error 0 at 0049B005". I tried running it in japanese locale with both TCP and UDP versions and it still won't start, does anyone know how to fix it?

As far as I know, the only translated touhou written fanwork; other than some really short R18 ones in sadpanda, is Gymnopedies (https://kafkafuura.wordpress.com/2019/11/16/the-gymnopedies-never-end-gymnopedie-ga-owaranai/).). I highly recommend it, and if you still aren't sure go read the review by Hitohira (well known 2hu story author, although it's almost entirely hifuu) https://en.touhougarakuta.com/book-review-en/gymnopedie_ga_owaranai/.. Written works in general don't "pass over" to our side of the internet outside of pixiv novel stuff.

Site originally made to promote fan-made Flash movies, nowadays focusing in fan-made animations in general. The links to the old Flash-hosting sites, a.k.a. authors' homepages, are still up, if you want to do some digging with Wayback Machine.

Some Touhou knowledge I happened to find:
https://nrr08.com/
Site dedicated for Touhou influences and details in ZUN's artwork. Has also art mimicking old ZUN style, drawn by the site's owner.

http://cynthia.cc/1996/
Sub-page with researches about HRtP's influences, it's debug mode and an analysis of the difference between C62 Circle Cut and Rin Satsuki.

Old game review on Mystic Square. Maybe even one of the oldest reviews on Touhou.

http://web.archive.org/web/20010529172514/http://www2u.biglobe.ne.jp/~rei12345/mikosan.htm
Site dedicated to shrine maidens. The nameless shrine maidens that ZUN drew in early 2000s were contributed to this site. ZUN sent these pics to the site as a gift, while he posted other people's OC shrine maidens to his site that were given to him as gifts. Pretty common fashion for artists at the time. Scrolling down the gallery, you'll find ZUN's name on the list

On that note, there are freem archives on archive.org.

If you can't find a game, you probably won't find it here either, they are also pretty old, but there have been 1 or 2 games that I managed to find in there. You don't have to download the entire thing, you can browse the zip file by clicking on it on archive.org.

What's something like novel updates but jp?
I know that NU has lots of jp novels/webnovels, but it generally only has stuff that's at least partially translated. I want to be able to navigate by tags, especially multiple tags, and user reviews.

I feel like a lot of written touhou works must go under the radar. I never really looked into it so I don't know much but I saw quite a few touhou doujin novels at comiket. Maybe you'll find a lead to getting scanned raws or web versions if you look through old comiket catalogues and find the writers.
