gamers are so desperate for positive emotions from women they draw into them such an absurd array of over-emotion into anime girls.
>stars in her eyes

>hair ornament that nobody actually wear because it looks stupid in reality
>ahoge
What is this, 2007 again? Also doesn't look good in reality.

I'm just saying, you're so desperate for positive female attention that you indulge in way over emotional drawings isn't helping your situation at all and possibly giving you stupid standards.

I'm trying to translate this sentence, "Not only am I late to the first day on the job but I'm lost, too." and I can't decide between 迷子になる and 道に迷う.

What I have right now is, 仕事初日に遅刻してるだけじゃなく、迷子になってしまった。 But I'm unsure of the difference in nuance between the two expressions. Is what I have written correct? Or is there something better I could use? The specific context of the sentence is someone driving around looking for where they need to go and talking to themselves, kind of chastising themselves for being late/lost if that makes a difference. Thanks.

I need to find a better way to mine from LNs.
I read on my ereader, and when I find a word I want to mine, I highlight the sentence (to have context), and then later on export all the highlights as HTML and mine from there with yomichan.
The problem is that this way, when I effectively "bulk" mine once a week or so, I have dozens if not 100+ sentences to read thru to mine the words from... It's really slow/annoying.
Should I stop saving the entire sentence, and just save the individual word?
Suggestions?

>> No.42340591

yeah. if you are trying to understand what you hear, even if your mind doesn't quite grasp every word, its still giving it a shot and it has a cumulative effect over time, as long as you have some understanding, any, youll eventually build from that
from an efficiency standpoint its faster and more pleasant to go with things that are closer to your level though
but even if you didn't know any japanese, and didn't have a dictionary, if you watched enough children shows youd eventually pick up most all vocabulary from the repetition, inflection, context, etc.
you can tell what is an insult, what is a joke, what is an order, attitudes, reactions, etc instinctively
it just takes a lot longer than using a dictionary and srs

eventually youll find less important words as a result of either having grabbed most of them already, or thinking "mining this would be annoying, ill probably just remember it", in other words the problem solves itself

teletubby retard alert. what you see here is an example of one or more teletubby retards; fully grown men that spend endless hours watching japanese teletubbies because their brains have rotted to the point of mush.

how to spot a teletubby retard:
>they worship teletubbies as a cope for their inability to get laid in real life
>they incessantly post pointless and meaningless pics and webms of their retarded teletubbies
>in addition to doing so because they are innately retarded, they spam as a means to annoy regular posters in the thread
>they are incapable of discussing a single topic other than teletubbies
>their “discussions” about teletubbies have the vocabulary level and sentence structure of a 3 year old screaming after it has soiled itself

what to do if you see a teletubby retard:
>tell them that they are retarded in the harshest terms possible
>mock them for being the biggest losers on earth
>do not fall for their act of pretending to be innocent and nice because they make their posts at least partially in order to annoy non-teletubby retards (the other reason is because they are retarded)
