You can play it without training and selling slaves. There is a lot of ways to get both kinds of money.
But fucking characters has boons on top of this: they can get additional stats from Obedience/Desire/Technique levels and if they are fully fallen for you, you can contract them (one character or demon per playthrough) and it will allow you to bring them with you through NG+. It also gives access to power-up quests for some human characters, pretty nice combo spells and crazy passive for your demon waifus/husbandos.
Sure, there is an additional system which can allow you to make them fall for you even without fucking them at all, but where is the fun in that?

I think it's implied that Kaguya invokes her power during that scene, so it's uncertain if the player's time stop would even be effective. And even if it would still work, the entire scene plays out in the middle of the night, with the player waking up and barely being able to move their body, while Kaguya rides them and pours the elixir down their throat through a kiss.
