Apologies if this one was a little rushed, there's only so much time I can set aside to keep up a survey. If you didn't get to participate this year there's always next year.

Man I didn't think i'd be the only one who has anything to say about MS. People seem so unanimous about praising it when PC98 discussion rolls around, although I guess it is neither that hard or easy so it couldn't really go in these categories.
I could choose to look at our top but I prefer to look at how many girls do have a vote. Almost 100 girls have at least 1 person who's fond of them. I think that's pretty alright for the sample size that we do have.

I'm kinda surprised that music got the most votes. Not because I don't love Touhou arranges, but because it's the most hit-or-miss type of content to me. I get very little out of listening to mediocre arranges, so it becomes unrewarding for me to explore new releases.

I do agree it's getting harder to find really good new arranges (mostly due to a lower number of active circles) but there's so much out there already I keep finding great songs released years ago that I've never heard before.

LoLK difficulty is infamous even to non players so that probably swayed some votes. Personally the patterns in LoLK gave me more grief than most things in IN or SA for that matter, at least when I wasn't cheesing with Reisen.

If that makes you feel better, a lot of it boils down to game feel. I play on impulse and I don't really write or think things out that throughly. I got to LoLK after having done most other games and I think was just done with UFO. I was a little obstinate and thought that, kind of like in UFO, my path to success was to make sure the early game was as good as can be. But I kept choking the 200 Graze on some chapters of Stage 1, or not being willing to use a bomb on Stage 2, which in hindsight is really stupid because it is just a single bomb and it'd let me get through all the chokeable parts of that stage, but hey I can't really go back in time. All of that combined made me restart maybe a dozen times to get a run past Stage 2. And then I had to not forget to press X and I didn't really know just how many mistakes I could afford to make (which is a lot, for sure). All these factors along with the context of having done 2 PD runs made me feel like I've earned the right to have a legacy run go smoothly without too much thought, but that wasn't quite the case, again largely because of my own practically self imposed shortcomings, but still.
Keep in mind all that does come from a Normal fag slowly making their way to Hard. Of course opinions aren't universal across difficulties.

To be fair, I just remembered that difficulty gap between Normal and Hard in UFO was greater than usual, making UFO Hard closer to SA Hard. I still think SA was harder overall, but what difficulty setting people play at could have an effect on the results.

#4 Yuuka is a pleasant surprise, though. I know she's really popular but I didn't expect "better than Yukari and Remilia" popular.
Also, surprised to see less mention of MoF being the easiest, I thought that was the general consensus. I agree though, of the four other games there I'd say the only harder one is TD (which I wouldn't even call particularly easy).

Ayy. The Lunarian lore/games are just so well made that I always get excited whenever they get expanded upon. CiLR is a big reason behind my enthusiasm for it, and I'd love to see another print work like it some day.

I like MS a lot. If I had to pick a single Touhou game that's the most solid all around (gameplay, music, characters, etc.) I'd probably choose it. That said, it's often my second or third favorite per category rather than my first, so I spent more time talking about the #1s in the survey.
Also, I like LLS more. But definitely due to personal tastes.

SA Hard is much easier than UFO Hard, in my experience. Even with all the resources you can get from UFOs. My Hard UFO 1CC is the most difficult thing I've cleared. It's supposedly much easier if you abuse Sanae B or something, but I'm talking about clearing it with a normal shot here.
I still voted LoLK as the most difficult game, even though I've only played Point Device: failing almost every late-game chapter ten to 99+ times doesn't motivate me to try out legacy mode. With my brain-RNG, I doubt I'd even make it to stage 3, since even stage 2 offers too many opportunities to screw up. Even if I did, Doremy would kill me.
