Remake production was scuffed and we know it from interviews. Nasu decided in his infinite autism that it's gonna be a TM production only which resulted in such gems as BLACK coding almost the entire game by himself. Red Garden has most of the work done already (sprites, code, animations) so it should take less comparatively.

Nah, he used to be more ambitious back when he was making Mahoyo and in interviews he wanted Mahoyo to be the next generation of VN’s so that the medium would advance. That clearly hasn’t happened and the market had all but collapsed besides a few successful games along the way. Guess he feels that he has that responsibility to keep doing the things that are expected of him and he doesn’t feel like he has the freedom to do whatever he wants. It would be awful if this stuff isn't covered by the Remake in some shape or form.

My best guess is that Roa is the perfect Arc bait. If you want to use Arc for something, then just go where Roa is, and Arc is probably useful as the closest thing to the CM at the moment. I was scared that Moriyama's version of Rin was too cutesy looking, which would undercut a lot of the moments where she goes all in on the brutal, fierce and emotionless magus act, but damn. He really drew her excellently here. Chapter is way shorter than I would have liked, but I suppose that's to be expected from a New Year's edition. At this right it will take two chapters for Rin to finally attack Shirou at the school. I'm enjoying it, at least.
