Hey anons,

I recently finished both Umineko and Higurashi, and I wanted to share my thoughts on which one I thought was better. After careful consideration, I have to say that I preferred Higurashi.

Both series are excellent examples of the "mystery" genre, with complex plots and intriguing characters. However, I found myself more drawn to Higurashi due to its intense and emotional story. The series does an excellent job of building tension and keeping the viewer on the edge of their seat, and I found myself getting caught up in the drama and horror of the story. The plot twists and reveals were also well-done and kept me guessing until the very end.

One thing that really stood out to me about Higurashi was the depth of its characters. Each character had their own distinct personality and motivations, and I found myself becoming emotionally invested in their stories. The character development throughout the series was also well-done, with each character going through significant growth and change as the story progressed.

On the other hand, while I did enjoy Umineko, I found the characters to be less well-rounded and complex. While the series did a good job of introducing a large cast of characters, I didn't feel as invested in their stories as I did with Higurashi. Additionally, the use of supernatural elements and mythical creatures, while certainly unique and interesting, didn't quite hit the mark for me as much as the more grounded mystery elements of Higurashi.

Overall, both Umineko and Higurashi are worth checking out for fans of mystery and thriller stories. However, for me, Higurashi just had that extra something that made it stand out. The intense and emotional story, combined with well-developed and complex characters, made it a clear winner in my eyes. What about you guys? Do you have a preference between the two?

Glad you enjoyed them anon, I also prefer Higurashi for similar reasons although Umineko has some great characters. I think the smaller cast really works for Higurashi. There's a decent chunk of the Umi cast I don't really feel much for despite how interesting the good ones are.
I found myself getting attached to even the supporting cast in Higurashi, although who knows maybe that's just easier with a smaller group of characters.

Solved. I've just noticed the embeddings directory and decided to move them there. The guide I was using told to store all .pt's in /models/hypernetworks and I didn't know better than trust the guide. The test generation produced the desired image.
