It's really dependent on when it happened and how many years I have left in life, personally. It would probably take years to be ready for another relationship on top of that. If we're both old farts, and she drops dead first, then of course I'll just ride out the remaining years solo.

Basically, everybody who dies goes to the underworld eventually, which is the only afterlife that exists. People with deep regrets might stay in the living world as ghosts, though. Regardless, the afterlife is ruled entirely by Hel, the Goddess of Life and Death and herself a monster girl who is really in favor of undeath and who doesn't want death to be a sad time of separation.

If a monster's husband somehow dies (which is just about impossible) Hel can and will revive them. Anybody can just ask her to come back and she will listen. To see how cheap death is, Halloween in MGE's world exists because one day a year just a bit of Hel's power accidentally leaks into the living world and causes mass resurrections everywhere.

If the Order is involved in a story, it means there's a Lilim playing grand strategy or they serve as a minor obstacle to push the MC into the arms of his new monster wife. Most writers opt for a modern setting with no real Order type organization, because it's easier that way. I would love to see something like that. Maybe she has to hold back going on a revenge spree, but that would definitely be edgy.
