I have a question from FSN. Are the "swords" that heal Shirou and that shows up in bad ends and HF supposed to be connected or Avalon or not? From what I got from FSN, the sword healing is Shirou's own power, not Avalon. But I'm not sure.

The thing that most makes me think this is Heaven's Feel, because in that route he can't use Avalon but even so the swords try to constantly fix him and that's why he's covered in swords at the end. During that scene where Shiki is rushing down the debris to Vlov, just after he evades the Lance. Vlov throws up some last second Ice Crags that Shiki decides to ignore saying if he was going to die, he was dead when he began and resolves to not dodge. He's sure even if his brain is pierced he wouldn't notice as he decides to instead focus on surpassing the instinct to brake and turn his body into a killing machine that won't stop just focusing on tracing Vlovs death. The crags that would have killed him were broken by Ciel's thrown key.

Some thoughts. The Tengu-Nanaya headcanon and being why she was added could be real. It could just be the nature of her being a similar speedy 'archetype' though and thus able to give some fanservice lines hinting about Shiki's nature.

I'm thinking Nanaya may backwards compatible with Tengu tricks(Clones, Super Speed, Wind Power(Probably not this one), Shukuchi, etc and she does exhibit her Tengu Fan in MBTL which can supposedly grant the user some of these abilities). Nanaya arts require the user to be a quadruped however so it shouldn't go both ways and you need a proper body(Nanaya or Furry I guess) to inherit the weird Nanaya movement and assassination skills including completely free traversal of indoor spaces via walls and ceilings.

As for Shukuchi. "Reduced Earth", Nanaya does some bizarre spider like movement in KT that's described as the ground itself moving except in retreat so I guess it makes sense he could learn her stuff.

They're already working on it but once the climax of p2 is over they're closer to moving on to serious production of RG while his subordinates helm the live service. Remember that unlike a gacha which is more casual and like releasing a manga serialization, a HQ VN like RG is more of a feature-length movie you adjust your posture for so direction has to be just right. So the development time and attention to detail is naturally increased. Just be patient I guess since it does seem like they have plans for Tsukihime world development over the long term.

Tsuki 2 is a dream currently but it does feel like with MB progression and the slow rollout of an eventual RG and hints at Arc True/Tsuki 2 that Nasu's comment that he wants RE to go on for a long time is real. Just finished Witch on the Holy Night Great visuals all around, 10/10. Probably the best visuals Type-Moon will ever produce.
At places the story dragged, at places the story flew by, overall I found the pacing to be uneven. Worst of all some of the dullest moments were in the first 4 chapters, especially the Soujuurou and Aoko meeting was padded to hell and back. Chapters 6-9 have some great moments, but overall were very mid and forgettable. Chapters 10+ is an A+ grade action and writing.
Foreshadowing is lacking. There were some hints on how physically strong Soujuurou is, but there are too few and are contradicted by some things in the story (mainly Soujuurou being a pushover in the Halls of Mirrors, if he was going to be strong mountain karate man I think he should have preformed better), I feel like Touko should have been better "hinted" at. Chapter 11 was way too late to introduce the Church members, I'm not saying they should have had a greater role, but it'd have been nice to at least see them once or twice on the streets before this. Chapter 9 introduces Touko, Chapter 10 Beowulf, Chapter 11 the Priest and Nun. Would have preferred if at least the Priest and Nun were offloaded as minor characters somewhere in Chapters 6-9.
I'd have preferred if the novel wasn't kinetic and we had choices. It doesn't have to be branching paths, but different reactions, info dumps or bad ends would have made things better.
Overall I enjoyed my time with it and I feel like I'd come back to it in a few years. Would recommend if anyone ever asked, but I wouldn't put it on par with Fate/Stay Night or Tsukihime. Also the novel left me with a desire to go read some books. Actual books - as in paper with ink and no pictures.
