So what exactly was Makihisa's plan? I only understand his idea to use synchronizers to combat effects of inversion impulse. He had no reason to adopt Shiki and then drop him off at the Arimas. What's the point of maintaining his reputation if he only cares about the opinions of other hybrid clans? So even if they knew that SHIKI went bonkers and died at the age of 8, what of it? If anything, stronger blood would've gotten him more respect.
And if SHIKI turned out to be fine, what was the role Makihisa planned for Shiki?

To the guys arguing last thread, I just started reading Tsukihime last week. Not because of some faggot youtuber or current popular thing or whatever, I had planned to read FSN for a long time and decided to look at the other stuff Type Moon made and figured I should start with Tsukihime.

That said, I'm not sure what to think yet. The art doesn't really bother me; I had to grit my teeth through stuff with art that was dogshit compared to this. Primarily Doujins, but Tsukihime seems roughly comparable in quality to many of those. In fact, I kind of like the art at times. The music is undeniable trash though, and I'm using the Tsuki-Bako version of the tracks, and despite what Mirror-Moon or whoever wrote the readme said this does little to mask or improve them. The main theme is ok though. I like all of the girls so far, and the writing isn't the greatest, but it could be worse. Of course, I don't know if Mirror-Moon half assed it or not, but it seems like they were dedicated. Even so, the text ends up being remarkably bland and straightforward at times. Is that Nasu's "style" in action, and if so, does it improve at all in his later VNs? Again, that could just be Mirror-Moon being just as amateurish as Type-Moon was at the time and fagging the translation up, but I have no way of knowing.

The translation is one of the closest to 1:1 we have - japanese is just kinda "bland"/"blunt" as a language, part of its charm to me. It does get better though - both because Nasu actually improved and the japanese translator got better at english.
Mostly Nasu that needed improvement though, Arc's route truly reads like Twilight. Don't get discouraged if you don't like it - was pretty disappointed personally but ended up loving the rest

Eh. The Archer stuff and the build-up to NLBW could've been handled better. The UBW theme remix they used for that scene was garbage and kinda took me out of the good parts of the build-up. And as the other anon said, the actual move itself is garbage, which is disappointing because they handled it perfectly in the Realta Nua intro. For a serious route, the only instance i can see a Taiga route ever being conceive is if Taiga gets involved somehow in the HGW (as a witness or master, whatever means) and that Shirou would have splittask everything plus supporting/protecting Taiga. For a comedic route which is inline with her character, I imagine Shirou trying his hardest to hide the HGW as best as he could from Taiga and this time, Taiga is much nosy and more suspicious of what the fuck is happening with Shirou. Basically Shirou getting stressed as fuck but in a comedic way.
