I think we can all agree the first Una-Chance is a masterpiece, easily one of the best character compilation albums in all of Vocaloid. It's a riveting mix of denpa and rock songs with Una's powerful voice creating a wonderful sonic spectacle.

For me, my favorite will always be the Mitchie M Miku.
Because i was in a long, toxic relationship where she made me give up my music hobby. Almost 10yrs.
And I know many people dismiss Mitchie as a “basic bitch” composer, but in many cases I found he made Miku sing like an actual idol.
So many times I’d play his songs and people who weren’t familiar with volcaloid would ask who the singer is. Because his songs didn’t make Miku sound like voice synthesis.
His music made me invest in new music software when I was finally out of that relationship, and helped me remember what I had been missing for so long.
So to me, this Miku is very special on an extremely personal level.
I do appreciate the details as well, such as how the strings on her ‘guitar’ are individual nylon strings.

It sounds quite different from Future Tone then, I've never had a chance to play the arcade version sadly. In FT you can pause while playing and open up the options where you can adjust the offset alongside the music/SE/button SE volumes. If there's no such menu, I'm not sure how you'd go about it.

I would honestly love to know the following statistical breakdowns:

1) of everyone in this thread who has purchased/pirated/“borrowed”/demo’d/etc the necessary tools to actually produce vocals from vocaloid software:
1a) how many are music hobbiests to the point of setting out with the intent of tuning some great vocals, and have continued to do only that (whether with the intent of release or just a personal hobby)
1b) how many did it simply to make vocaloids say whatever lewd things their wishes could conjure
1c) how many have done a healthy mix of both because tuning practice is tuning practice, regardless if it’s making the software speak or sing more naturally
2) of those who fall into groups 1b and 1c:
2a) how many prefer to make them say lewd things in Japanese
2b) how many prefer to make them say lewd things in “Engrish” via Japanese phonetics
2c) rhetorical - I’d ask how many used an English voice pack for lewd things, but I have faith /jp/ would not do this

I didn’t say Mitchie was the best “tuner” out there, but I do think he’s in the top-few discussion.
Though you and I might have different personal opinions of “generic”.
For me, “generic Miku” is when composers just match her pitch of a given syllable to whatever the melody note is at the same time and call it a day.
So then you get those crazy instant pitch changes that no actual human could do. Ironically I think it’s even worse when someone does that and then tries to give slight smoothing between the notes, as then instead of sounding like a crappy voice program it sounds like a crappy amateur singer using crappy autotune.

But of course there’s also the tracks themselves, which are entirely subject to personal taste.
I like Mitchie’s tracks because I personally love the electronic R&B/funk vibe a lot have. Probably because I’m old. So his music composition and lyric-tuning make a good combo for my taste.

The ipega FT minicon supposedly uses keyboard switches. I haven't used it, but it's obviously going to have the same issue, looks a bit more cramped too. On the other hand, you do get an actual slider.

Well to be fair, a lot of figs in those places actually do have boxes which you get when you buy it (like buying a watch), and it does make sense that if it’s already been opened, might as well let people see the fig itself.

But I’m curious how many people actually buy things from those places.
I mean yeah sometimes you see some legit super rare or vintage stuff which is awesome, or find garage figs finished/painted 100x better than you could ever hope to do.

But I can’t help but actually feel sad when looking at a lot of those consignment cabinets with “normal” stuff. >>41820600 is a prime example.

I think it's mostly location and people just not knowing better. As far as I remember they all were very close to train station, in the whole center of akiba and they were always crowded. I got all my prices from shops that were at the outskirts, that's where I found the best prices, and honestly the best range. These rented boxes have really a tons of same prize figures over in every box, while stores like liberty have 8 floors, each divided to different kind and nicely organized so you don't have to keep going around looking for something you haven't seen before.
