We keep having new mechanics added every now and then, old ones still get used and are viable, so not really.
In their case, their inability to make events hard while keeping things balanced drove it all to hell. Like "how do we make event hard" "give everyone armor" - assault rifles are now useless. "Give everyone a lot of evasion" - machine guns are now useless. Rifles are now the sole viable gun type. "Now add enemy units that have super armor, super evasion and super dps all at once" - nothing else is worth using now.
It's why I honestly hope we'll never have playable Abyssals. Battleships with super armor, super cannons, opening torpedo, opening airstrike and can't be targeted by carriers without certain planes because of counting as an installation, that kind of unit should never be wielded by a player.

Most of this games quest are dogshit desu. Idk whats the deal with this horrible balancing but i never played another gacha where daily/weekly were so horrible rewarded that they arent worth doing at all. Alot of quests were only rewardable due to sub cheese but since thats gone p much all those quests are utterly useless. (Mainly the combat ones, the daily crafting etc can be decent)

I only do up 15 subs, 6 machine guns, 6 rat transports, and 20 pvps, as well as the occasional easy monthlies and quarterlies. I don't typically powergrind girls during the downtime or go hard on equipment upgrades because I need to stockpile, and pre-preps for last event in which I did try to rush a second Yamato into service proved why that was a bad idea.

Dailies are profitable with low effort. I have always considered weeklies as the screw quests. It doesn't take all that much effort so you might as well just do them (unless you are really REALLY idling). Hell I used to do my dailies on my phone when I was stuck in traffic everyday.

The problem with 5-2 weekly s rank is that historical routing is a big scam dont fall for it. Historical routing s rank is pretty much impossible. Due to only 1 round of shelling and too many weak units that cant touch aircraft demon much

You need to use the heavy comp with 2 battleships that can brute force the map with 2 shelling rounds fairly easy
