- Rin would be a dirty, experienced slut in all routes instead of dirty in Fate and pure in UBW, then dirty in HF again (yeah, that was rider but whatever)
- Also, that last sex scene with Rin? Not a dream.
- There would be a path where some kindly soul gets Shirou proper treatment for his mental deficiencies, teaching him to perhaps read and operate a cash register, it would be really heartwarming
- There would be a path where Shirou becomes Kiritsugu Junior, down to shooting people in the back with his gun and all
- Etc.

I would like it if there was more obvious difference from the start between the routes than which girl you're gunning for. I would prefer if instead of having a "Saber route" and a "Rin route" and a "Sakura route" you would instead have something like

- Route where you ally with Rin, oppose Shinji
- Route where you ally with Shinji, oppose Rin
- Route where you ally with nobody, oppose everybody, turn your mind to steel(tm), become Kiritsugu

And inside these routes you could have room for a separate choice regarding which tail to chase.

Regarding allying with Shinji, this may seem absurd because he's so obviously evil and Shirou is as much of a white knight as you can get, but I think it's an option worth exploring. One, he explicitly offers it, a mutual protection pact, and at that point Shirou is still clueless about his murderous ways - the only reason Shirou doesn't accept it is because he already accepted Rin's offer and she's got a vagina. Two, I always got the vibe that a big part of Shinji's assholism was fear, he knew he was in way over his head and was fucking scared. If Shirou was there it might be possible to keep him in check.

Let's face it, Ilya, Medea and Rider are murderous psychopaths and that doesn't stop people from suggesting they should be allowed redemption. What makes Shinji so much worse? he's not pretty in a dress?

Except, Rin would be the Master of Saber and Shirou would be the Master of himself. Then would that mean there would be no UBW route? Ohoho. The forest scene in Fate would be Saber, Rin, and Ilya. Afterward, all of them will live in Rin's home, giving each other mana, every single night. Heaven's Feel would be Ilya's route from the beginning. Sakura will get killed by Gil and stay dead. Every day of HF route will be spent in Ilya-chan's mansion as we watch her eat, sleep, and play!

Rin would actually be a pretty fucking menacing adversary in the hypothetical Shinji/Shirou route. They're two losers with crippled servants and no useful magic, against a spellcasting prodigy and GARcher. That would be fucking intense.

If I was writing FSN, I'd have more paths to start out from. One of which would be a Rin/Archer route kicking off after Shirou's killed in the first bad end. Saber's taken by Caster and its up to them to stop the war, destroy the Grail and save the day.

Also a route where Archer and Lancer have to work together, where Rin gets a GAR harem of both the Celt and EMIYA. Plus, there would be the hilarity of Lancer and Archer work together, but eventually become pretty much unstoppable together.

Kirtisugu never died. He never found Shirou. Fifth war is coming. He wants his daughter back and to destroy the Grail. He takes Avalon out of him for the summoning because he doesn't want Saber. He thinks his luck is going to be better without a catalyst and get a spirit that's close to his personality.

He gets Archer EMIYA.
