You arrive in Gensokyo after being punched in the face by some jock whose girl you bumped into. You have no food, you don't speak Japanese and have no way of making a living. You find yourself at the Hakurei shrine and notice it is in disrepair. A shrine maiden spots you and starts to yell at you in some strange language. You innocently put your hands up and back up in fear. She sees your sorry state and motions with her hands to fix the roof and then she heads inside and points to a bowl of rice indicating you work for food. Hungry, you accept and proceed to start working on the roof. Suddenly, a woman in frills and a parasol appears in front of you out of nowhere. She speaks your language and tells you that you are here in Gensokyo illegally and you are taking jobs away from hard working Gensokyo residents. She explains that she is in charge of the border and must deport you. What do you do?

The answer is quite simple, really.

I inquire as to the process through which I could attain legal status in Gensokyo, and pursue that means until I'm a legal resident.

Then, as a legal resident of Gensokyo, I proceed to help fix the roof of the shrine, for free of course.

Conversely, if there is no way and I'm bound to be deported, I at least as for the time to finish fixing the roof. After all, I did make a promise.

As I'm sure you've figured out; I don't speak the language here and I've no currency of this world, and I'm mostly certain my services as a mechatronics engineering student would be fairly obscure here, so I couldn't even really work here. Right then, here's my ID" At which point I would hand her my Driver's liscence and student card.

"So really being here isn't exactly all that beneficial to me; well aside from all the stunningly beautiful women here. Say, you're rather good looking yourself miss, a shame our meeting had to be under these circumstances." I'd pause and look around. After this infallible logic is laid down, she reluctantly agrees to allow me to stay and prove my worth. She will decide later if I can stay, or if I am to be removed.

After kindly helping Reimu, she takes me in. Which is not all that surprising. At first, she is kind of apathetic toward me, but after a week or two, we start to warm up to each other. After living in Gensokyou for 6 months, the time Yukarin allowed me to prove myself, she finds me... Lacking. Lacking in abilities of danmaku. Lacking in abilities to survive on my own. Lacking in critical attributes that any person who wishes to live outside of the human village must have. She decides to banish me. I refuse and resist. I do everything in my power to prevent her from exiling me from this paradise. I love this place. I had no friends in the outside world. My family didn't care for each other. I had no future. I wanted to stay. I was willing to do anything to stay. After several minutes of struggle, Yukari gets angry, running me through with her parasol.

As I lay bleeding out on the stone walkway leading to the Hakurei Shrine, I look up at the sky. That beautiful blue sky, dotted with soft clouds. Yukari looks down on me, her parasol blocking out my view of the sky. She has a "Good riddance" look on her face. Reimu runs over to me. She begins fighting with Yukari.

My vision fades. My head tilts over to the side, and I catch a glimpse of my blood running through the gaps between the stones. My mind flashes on the happy times I had. Cleaning the shrine. The meager meals Reimu could provide. Riding behind Marisa on her broom. Seeing the sights of this flawless world. I was but a cancer in Gensokyo. Yukari was right. The last thing I think to myself... "Thank you. Gensokyo..."

I die.

Upon clicking continue, I am send back to 4 months ago, after having been in Gensokyo for 2 months. I elect to beg Reimu and Marisa to teach me the ways of magic. For the first two weeks, Reimu is a brutal instructor. She slaps me with her Miko stick every time I fail in the slightest bit. After a month, I can create the most basic danmaku. An average fairy would probably defeat me. This is where Marisa starts teaching me.

She is much more warm to me than Reimu, after all, she was born weak just like me. I learn faster from her. After another month, I am on par with the strongest of fairies. Maybe even some of the average humans and weaker youkai. Surprising how fast you can learn when you are determined. Determined to survive. This time I know Yukari will kill me if she finds me unworthy.

Two months to go. My training has slowed. I fear I may be near my potential limit. I am nowhere near as strong as Reimu or Marisa. No comparison. Instead of trying to get stronger, I practice my danmaku patterns, changing them from blatant and random bullet spam to beautiful patterns that even Yuyuko would be jealous of. Marisa is helping me every step of the way.

"No no, not like that..."
Marisa grabs my arm, her other arm sliding around my lower back.
"Like thi-..."
She blushes, as do I
"...Like this, Marisa?"
I send out a intricate danmaku pattern.
"Yeah... Like that..."

I think I'm falling for Marisa. Maybe she is falling for me too. I hope so. Shes so kind to me.

My time is up. The six months had passed.
Yukari arrives at the Hakurei Shrine. She proposes a danmaku battle with me, as she had been watching me train from time to time.

"You need not defeat me, but show me that you are worthy of being a friend and ally of the Hakurei Maiden and the witch Marisa."

We start fighting. After what seemed like an eternity, but only turned out to be about eight minutes, I am defeated. Yukari had hardly broken a sweat.

"I am impressed. To become this strong after a mere six months. You are welcome here."

She gaps away to God knows where. Marisa and Reimu cheer me on, congratulating me.

My days continue on, growing happier every day. Reimu and Marisa introduce me to many interesting and colorful characters. The Scarlet bunch. Alice. Aya. Yuyuko and Youmu. The humans of the Human village. After another half year, Marisa and I confess our feelings for each other. They were mutual. I was so happy. I could never be happier.

Too keep what could be a long story short, and on topic.. Marisa and I get married not long after, and live together for many, many happy years. I tell my stories to my children and grandchildren, and we both end our lives as happy as could be.

fuck your checkbox turn based RP shit. Take it to IRC. I am simply responding to OP, and the person who implied that they wanted me to click continue.

You look up at Reimu.
Her small hand looms close to your face. The sunlight behind her casts her as a silhouette.

You realize for a moment that it does not matter how you see yourself.

What matters is how much you work for something.

"Thank you" you say as you take her hand then pull yourself up.

"You help clean floor today?" she asks in that broken Japanese.
She has been trying her hardest to communicate with you yet, you realize you were being too hard on yourself. There was no hope to "Fit in" to begin with. Nor did she expect you to.

Instead, she wanted you to improve yourself.

"West wing?" you ask, meaning you take west and she takes east.

With a nod, you two walk off to the Shrine to begin your work for the day.

How about this:
This thread remains a reimu based rp storyline.
And you go off and start a Marissa Based rp line?
That way those who want reimu gets reimu. Those who want Marissa get Marissa and I can continue bullshitting my way through a storyline while doped up on lortap and anesthesia?

OP never said anything about RPing or a Reimu based story.

This thread was TL;DR, I didn't read anything but OP's post. I responded to OP's post accordingly.

Ok.

You wanna do as I suggested though?
Give both crowds what they want without any conflicts?

No need to fight or bicker over it.
Besides, I just did what you did. Saw ops comment and began coming up with something. Albeit a little bit more positive than yours.

Just because you wanted to start an RP session on 4chand oesn't mean you own the thread dude. Let other people reply to OP as well.

And no, I won't start a second identical thread. One is bad enough as it is.

While the border officer is writing out her report, I throw the hammer at her face. It traces a lazy arc through the air and comes down with a wet smack on her forehead. She crumples down to the ground, unblinking eyes staring up at the clear sky. I'll need to move quickly now. I grab her parasol and head inside. The shrine maiden has her back to me, cooking something over a wooden stove. She says something without turning around, probably asking me if I've fixed the roof yet. I ram the parasol into the shrine maiden's anus, causing her to shriek in pain as the parasol's pointy tip rips through the soft flesh of her bowels. While she's writhing in pain, I smash the hammer into a spot right above her ear, replacing her scream with a sharp gasp and then silence. I bury the bodies and put on one of the shrine maiden's spare outfits. I resume fixing the roof of my new house. Shrine maidening can't be too hard, right?

>> No.4144711

I point out in a deadpan voice that she's standing on a part of the roof I haven't repaired yet.

Since Gensyoko actually has comedic timing, this is probably the point that she goes right through the roof and lands on Reimu.
I studiously ignore the resultant lightshow, fix the roof and hope that by the time the two are finished Yukari has totally forgotten about me.

Wait, if this is gensyoko, does that mean I need to start wearing a skirt?

Oh dear. My dark couloured wollen winter headcap combined with my heavy coat and stubble is probably what is making me look like an obvious immigrant in the first place.
I'd better swap it out for some kind of baseball cap ASAP.
