Any argument justifying piracy is invalid and pretty ridiculous.

>wahhhhh Video Game corporations are evil and greedy!

You still don't have the right to use their software without paying.

>wahhhhh EA RUINS GAMESSS!!!!!!

You still don't have the right to use software without paying.

>Video games are too expensive!!!!!!!

You still don't have the right to use software without paying.

>wahhhhh! Video games are too glitchy and incomplete!

You still don't have the right to use software without paying.

>wahhhhh! DRM!

etc. etc.

Video game corporations could create the crappiest, worst, buggiest, expensive, games available, but you still don't have the right to use the software unless you pay.

Pirates are difficult

Stories vs sex romps = open question still, hard to determine two categories. Always trying to do when making decision. In general though having both in an unknown ratio is the winning strategy.

>censorship
What is their take on censorship and mosaic?

Majority of us don't give a shit about mosaic and rather they not censor any scenes. Why don't they just stop using that as an excuse whenever a localization project failed due to missing non mosaic CGs?

>> No.4132107

>>4132068
Basically if the Japanese company suggests something with mosaics, JAST's reaction is usually "Yeah, no thanks".

Pretty annoying that their core userbase cares about that shit so much.

"Lollee".

>> No.4132197

What they say at around 29:00-30:00 is pretty interesting.

They seem to be opposed to translating extremely long games with low sexual content out of two fears.

One, that the low level of sexual content will not satisfy their core userbase, who wants to see more than two CGs at the end of a really long game. Two, they want to avoid being like English RPG localization companies where they base their company's future on one huge title. Focusing on a big game would require a ton of effort, thus making it difficult to do other things.

It seems like their entire business model seems to be striking a balance between sex romp and story based titles, which is fine. But I find it worrying that we probably will never see the major, story heavy blockbusters get an official localization from JAST.

Oh well, hopefully fan translations pull through some day. I would really love to see Muramasa and Hello World.
