Not really. I'm sure there's jobs you can do from home. You can definitely continue your education from home.
Most hikkis probably don't want to interact with anyone outside of the internet, so it makes any job pretty much impossible, even if it's from home, but online classes are probably a different thing, I don't know the details since I've never taken any.

As a hikki I don't even want to interact with anyone on the internet outside of 4chan. Even things like MSN/AIM/IRC are too much for me.

Hell even the online class you would end up taking would be hard if all you can think about is that mistake you did. Then you spiral into depression. What if by chance you fail, even if you studied so hard? Parents going to constantly pay for more of your tuition/loan money? That would weigh heavily on my mind if this were to happen to me.

Writing books okay. But won't you need it published eventually so you can sell it right? I'm not sure how this would work, can this be done all online? Sounds like a lot of money already. If I were in this sort of position I would most likely be leeching off my parents and I would feel terrible already.

I suppose you can do mail order. That seems the less stress related/less burden on others and can eventually pay for living expenses for yourself.

You can be a hikikomori without being a NEET. You can take online educational courses without having to go outside and I am doing some right now, in fact, although I have no intention of describing myself as a hikikomori.
