Y’all going to the wrong burger places.
That said, the best burger I ever had was at a Japanese place. Onion cheeseburger (that’s make you cry onions, not wordfilter onions) - plain but firm bun, sauce, cheese, patty with the onions cooked in. Got me started putting onion soup mix in my burger patties.

It's the closest I've come to understanding the wonder bread fetishist. A cutie just devouring a burg is wonderful to me. Maybe it has to do with abundance which goes great with a idealistic anime cutie? It signals theirs enough food to make a burger and not only that there's the cutie that can eat it. Burgers are also closely connected to the USA with stereotypical ideals of freedom and westerners. A Japanese anime styled girl eating a western burger is a sort of gap moe that you can only get with the strange juxtaposition.
Overall I think it's just a super interesting clash of two modern cultural phenomenons combining the sin of lust and gluttony.
