Nice, haven't watched the latest Prima Doll episode yet but I think the Nips did it at the start of the season too.

This isn't related but I find it funny how this week Nakahara had bigger parts in Shadows House and that babysitter anime, and suddenly both anime appeared in the western chart rankings for this week. Shadows House S2 was #2 for example, and I can only be convinced it was entirely her doing.

Eh, even factoring in my biases its really not. As entertaining as she is in Shadows House, Rosemary/Maryrose came way too late for my opinion to sway. And even with Prima Doll she barely appears (though that might change in the last few episodes when the obvious twist is revealed), same issue with The Yakuza's Guide to Babysitting. Its honestly probably Chika Anzai's season.

Nakahara's last season I'd dare say would have to be Summer 2012. In terms of 2009, she didn't really have a season. She had roles but nothing really stood out.

At the end of the day, producers find and hire whoever they think is the best fit for the work. The anime industry isn't like Hollywood where you fail upwards and if you bomb, the trillionaire hedge fund managers will bail you out. Animes need to turn in a profit. If the dudes hiring think keeping it closer to home is a net positive I don't see any problem with it.
