Private island with a mansion? Check.

Storm that prevents people from coming or going? Check.

Mysterious epitaph on the wall that describes the nature of the murders? Check.

Someone who Isn't Actually Dead is used to create apparently impossible murders? Check.

A message in a bottle containing information about the truth of the murders? Check.

A mysterious message delivered to those attending the mansion announcing the intent of the murderer? Check.

Infallible statements to the reader that no "person X" is hiding on the island? Check.

The implication that not all passages in the novel can be trusted (e.g. some narration is false)? Check.

The murderer working from the inside to split up the group of victims so that he can pick them off one by one? Check.

The murderer being one of the victims? Check.

So, Ryukishi, I heard you like Agatha Christie.

I don't get what you mean, I know the damn reaction images are FROM umineko, but where the hell do people just get all a character's faces from? /seacats/ is some -chan based board I take it?

Indeed. Google it as seacats board. There's a lot of content, though I stray from the theories board until I can establish mine, at a glance, you can find plenty of other ideas that are believable.
The rest of the board shows about anything Umineko related.
And sage this thread. It must die now.

They get the faces from the game sprites.

They're faggots so they have enough time on their hands to crop and make their own.

Check.

So, Haruhi, I heard you like Agatha Christie.

Seconded. John Dickson Carr makes wonderful closed rooms. That's his mystery forte. Start with The Three Coffins/The Hollow Man, where Dr. Gideon Fell delivers the famous "Closed Room Lecture" where he outlines the different types of closed rooms and how to break them in fucking half. Enjoy doing the same to Umineko.

I'm surprised that the lecture and Carr isn't incorporated in Umineko yet. It's like the ultimate "fuck off and die" weapon against the illusion of the witch.

I played Wargrave in a high school production. Shit was so cash.

I played Wargrave in a high school production. Shit was so cash, except instead of Vera hanging herself, Wargrave comes out to hang her himself. Vera didn't kill Lombard when she shot him, so he leans up, picks up the gun, and shoots Wargrave. They totally get married and live together and shit.
