I’ve tried to watch magical girl anime before and it’s really not my thing. I tried to watch Shokei Shojo no Virgin Road last season and despite absolutely loving time travel shenanigans I just couldn’t get into it.

My issue is that men in those shows tend to have no powers and in terms of story elements basically don’t exist, are exclusively villains, or are useless. I dont know if guys like those shows cuz of fan service or whatever but it does nothing for me.

I’m sure women have the same experience watching dumbass shows like Baki lmao because I love Baki’s absurd shenanigans but it’s likely unwatchable for most women haha
