It shouldn't be that rare. I've seen it a fair amount of times while playing with it, though I did have around a dozen eligible characters, and I had slapped together some test code to check every new request at the onset of the day, so that probably skewed my experience a little.
The big issue is probably that you need to check every eligible character to see if they triggered it, which is a huge pain.

You can grind intimacy pretty easily on dates, just by spamming skinship and headpats. It'll still take a couple days, but you can spam-click you way through it pretty easily. The problem with trying to make unique dialogues based on age/height/race/animal tail/ear presence is that unless every other author starts writing them into their stuff, it'll always be specific to the character in which the author had specifically coded that stuff in. Else it'd require writing additional dialogue for otherwise 'completed' characters to account for those, which may not match the vibe the ordinary author had established for them.

Would it be great to see all those things in? Yeah, it would be really great to see it. Like if say you started the game living with Yukari, and you picked the traits to make yourself something similar to Ran (appropriate race and ear/tail presence). And Yukari would treat you like something she summoned similar to Ran, but from the Outside World, so you still count as an Outsider. And Ran and Chen would see themselves as your older sister/senpai based on this. Similar to how the SDM start has the dialogue of Remilia hiring (You) as a butler/maid for her mansion.

But this is where you might end up with huge dialogue files for every character currently in the game if this was applied to them all, and may present an issue for potential authors for characters that do not have dialogue (current or future) - do they have to write about how your character is a giant old man and refer to this beyond just the introduction and maybe a few important dialogue points? Should it effect stat gains e.g. (You)'re literally a normal 100-year old human man wanting to bang Akyuu/Kosuzu, for example - surely this would result in huge resistances against any sexual advances from (You), unless for some reason the human women of Gensokyo are desperate enough to bang anything male? With dialogue and stuff included. Lots of interesting interactions can be made using those talents/traits, especially with additional traits added like 'Shotacon', but then it may end up causing a war over whether a character by lore is a shotacon/lolicon or not.

The only way I can really think of having this all work 'properly' is if someone was to create their own private branch of TW and start coding all that stuff in, and enter their own dialogue for all the MC customisation traits involved, pulling in features/translations from currently untranslated characters as they are being done and enter their own touch. Kind of like Pedy branch but willing to be autistic enough to do all this?

I think they are planning to do so, or if they have I somehow haven't unlocked them yet. Dengekikko has an Individual Event, but it seems to imply requiring, other than hitting level 50 with her, completing some sort of event and getting all the characters? It could just be that the event needed hasn't popped up for me yet.

That said, Dengekikko is really strong as it is. Her skills are all in Physical Attack (Extra Skills as opposed to Magic), and most of the skills she can learn allow her to do a mixture of Phyiscal + Lightning damage. Considering that she is in eraMegaten, I'd like to think that the next character added (if none of the Neptunia characters are in yet) would be her buddy-rival Famitsu.

Imagine if in eraMegaten, the game where you can straight up write out your entire characters summary and background yourself, made it so when you find your Shadow they go off on a long rant about how much they, and by extension (You), hate all the shit about being in Phantom, thinking everyone around them is nothing but an obstacle or a tool, and went on to say that you believe Ayase is nothing but a trash whore you plan on selling to old men when this is all over. It'd run not only the entire interaction as what it is now, but force in a possibly completely different outlook from a character you're supposed to have full control over. Right now what it is is mostly perfect without being nothing, they keep your shadows motives incredibly vague, they only make an offhand comment about Phantom that could mean anything, and let you fill in the rest. I kinda wish it had an actual fight, especially since the dungeon forced you to making your party tiny so it'd be a pretty close mirror match, but I can get why they didnt do that. But if it had anymore dialogue, itd be running the massive risk of just destroying your idea of the MC.
Now sure, you can make that a toggle, but be honest, that'd lead to one of two results. Either the fact you know each is so superfluous that you can remove all mention of it and everything would still make sense, rendering the entire idea moot, or you need to write 2 entirely different sets of dialogue. Granted you can say what we have now could be one of them so half is already written, but that still has the problem of dream shit that most people would want removed regardless of the previous knowledge stuff. Its way better in my mind to just cut the idea of "2hoe who knows you before the events" all together, it's just inherently contradictory to the entire game's design.

The root problem was always the autists having too much freedom when writing characters. You can always make the argument that any problems can be changed from a code perspective, but an outdated or narrow-minded dialogue will always fuck things up for those involved. Still, a rule enforcement on what to write would probably scare autists away, so it's not like this is a situation that can be won.

That kind of thing for eraMegaten is something I'd like addressed on cycle start, with those Tactics Ogre-like starting questions like 'What do you think of the Phantom Society?' and 'Do you believe in human and/or demon slavery'. Have them change your starting alignment, training options available to you, and how your character perceives things (mostly when looking at other females; there are still a bunch of dialogue around outside of the Sebec questline where when you first meet a female character (You) kind of size them up in terms of slave-worthiness). I'd like to see a way to 'train' non-combatant/cooperative characters without sexual training at least - maybe similar to using the Interact option but significantly more Loyalty/Dependency gain depending on the choices you make with them. This way you can achieve a Fall state with them to start combat training, etc. without performing sexual training on them. Maybe even make it one or more Endings you can get? Like say if you completely stayed out of the slavery business, or with certain traits (maybe another sort of Mysterious Charm?), if you sell X of these 'pure' non-trained characters. Maybe these options could even set the starting difficulty level for (You), based on how much the Phantom Society is willing to trust you (especially if you really disagree with their ways).

But this would cause the same issues with the current Sumeriko Recognition issue - should everything else be configured to reflect these choices, resulting in a huge text bloat? I personally see my (current) MC as someone who reluctantly was made to join the Phantom Society as a 'full combat capable' person, lest they be turned into a sex slave for someone, so they don't agree always agree with the Phantom Society's ways of doing things - as a result they don't engage in the slavery part of the trade. But since this is just my headcanon for myself, so a way to 'include' this without requiring any additional coding/dialogue would be to make everything as neutral as possible, as you say. Even my idea of 'non-sexual training' would result in additional dialogue for every character, unless it's possible to enter a generic 'You enter into negotiations with Character A' unless the author for that character specifically wrote dialogue to reflect this alternate training method.

I think at least in the case of eraMegaten, the "Player perception" text could realistically be changed without too much text bloat. A simple question in the intro would be enough for me.

This should only really change a couple lines when you first meet someone, so I dont think thats too much to write. Might just be more a problem of finding all the lines it'd have to change at this point. After that some autists could try and add more for general personalities like "Check her out power-wise" and "Panic".
But outside those, I'm willing to accept most NPCs acting like your a slave trader regardless of actions because, you still technically are. No matter how you split it you're working under Phantom, with access to all those tools. But at least you (Usually) have the option to reject that and act on your own morals and accord. I love how when fighting Leo in the IS questline, he is genuinely surprised and panic'd when you DONT accept the deal to take Lisa and the idols as slaves for his life. Like, he 100% expected you to take the prime deal and not be some hero. Feels a lot better than it would if I was just expected to be a hero honestly

Yeah, until you land on some planet. Then it's either dying again until it explodes (if it's uninhabitable) and the cycle continues, or a few million years more of a normal-ish life until it explodes. The worst part is once the death heat happens, nothing can move anymore at that point, but if you're lucky and it's a crunch instead you can get a brand new universe and start anew. Lots of dying until then of course.
