IIDX bros memed about Reiwa being a Stepmania sprindex chart, well now they got 24h Endurance Race, which is basically a BMS delay chart.
Twodicks has in general been more and more BMS-ish over the last few releases, to the point where it might not be worth it anymore. You can DIY a controller for 70 buck or so. Depending on where you live one round can up to 4 bucks, and you probably play 5 or 6 rounds per session. In other words, you can build a controller for 3 sessions worth of money and not have to bother with queques and shit.

Asphyxia has been a thing for years, corin isn't sows staff and it's a dead community anyway. Arcana hasn't been updated in a very long time beyond the most barebones support, cg is open to anybody good enough to win their recruitment tournaments or knows literally anybody in the rhythm game community, same with enigma, everybody has been on n-0 since HV.

At this point the only people perpetuating the n-0 overlord secret club narrative are people who just don't play the games. It's all literally on nyaa and has been forever or if you're a real third worlder you can just google and find it on emuline.

It's gotten a lot better, the base songlist is a lot bigger than it used to be. A little tip is that if you rival people who own the song packs you can play the songs from it through the rival challenge folder. It will always send you the charts you don't have scores on so it's an easy to get free bits/save a little money.

It's also pretty cheap now since the yen is so weak.
