4chan.org/rules for /jp/

>/jp/ - Otaku Culture
>
>1. All images and discussion should pertain to light and visual novels, figures and other otaku paraphernalia, Touhou Project, Vocaloid, doujin works and music, and diverse niche Japanese interests (kigurumi, idols, mahjong, tea).
>2. This is the appropriate board for the discussion of Japanese visual novels and light novels.

Hololive, ホロスターズ, 774inc, Nijisanji, AHOGE AND FUURIN, みけねこ, 白銀ノエル and the "BRUUUUUUUUUUUUUM" thread they are NOT:
light novels,
visual novels,
figures,
Touhou Project,
Vocaloid,
doujin works,
doujin music,
kigurumi,
mahjong,
tea,
other otaku paraphernalia.

VTubers are online entertainers who uses a virtual avatar generated using computer graphics.
/jp/ rules don't specifically allow VTuber content.
VTubers have their own board >>>/vt/

You may argue VTubers are idols and because /jp/ allows idols it is okay to post VTubers here. Consider the following:

>Global Rule 11: Advertising (all forms) is not welcome—this includes any type of referral linking, "offers", soliciting, begging, stream threads, etc.

Stream threads are forbidden GLOBALLY including /jp/, one exception to this rule is:

>/vt/ - Virtual YouTubers
>
>2. All VTuber discussion should pertain directly to their streams and content.

You may argue VTubers are part of otaku culture. Consider the following:

/mlp/ posters aren't allowed to post at /co/ and /tv/ so why are VTubers allowed when they have their own board (>>>/vt/) and stream threads are globally BANNED

Let's discuss what we can do about this

the mods will delete your thread and they will never listen to your opinion
just give up

Unless you can make enough of these threads to disrupt rest of the board and make other threads live much shorter, this does nothing.
>>41002139
>/vt/ and /jp/ share the same mods
This explains everything. I thought they were just lazy retards that babysit their one thread.

hologen should leave just because they are so much faster and populated than the board itself
holo global is deserted and specifically deals with non-JP chuubas, just kill it already
the other threads can stay but they're not allowed to make individual chuuba threads

The funny thing is that jay never had any mods that cared for it, I think the one time that I saw a mod post here was 7 years ago when /a/ had their general purge by Kino, and he had to kick Monmusume, DJT and Buyfag to this place.
Meanwhile for the past year some mod was having a lot of fun IRC posting and doing public bans/warnings in the holo general >>31009313 >>32329255 >>30583490 >>31817165.
And now I'm pretty sure he fucked off and is busy caring for /vt/.
Anyways, what I'm trying to say is that no one cares about /jp/. This board is just a imagedump for secondaries nowadays.

OP I hate money grubbing vtubers as much as you and I think they are ruining our youth by turning them into SIMPs. But Hololive in particular falls into the category of:
>niche Japanese interests
>idols

The Japanese Hololive girls are basically virtual idols. Now the western vtubers are NOT idols such as VShojo and Hololive EN. They're just your typical attentionwhore gamer girl streamers. We should email the admin with our concerns about vtubers and perhaps get them all in their containment board.

The future is bleak. This is what we feared KanColle would become back in 2013~14.

What? /vt/ has overtaken /a/ in traffic? Impossible. Am I reading that correctly?

>> No.41002645

>>41002557
That spike when /jp/ briefly overtook /a/ was when vtubers became a thing. And once /vt/ was invented /jp/'s traffic dropped down below /a/. I didn't know vtubers were that popular.
