From my experiments and initial tweaking, it looks like the Minimal Theme should be the first thing to get. It's called a theme but it honestly goes beyond visual changes and actually adds a bunch of functionality. Watching some Youtube videos will help you become acquainted with the terms and basic navigation. When I see more progress in my own project I'll be able to do a better step-by-step beginners guide with stuff like the card layouts, templates, order of operations, etc. I doubt I'll have something as next-level as Obsidianbro's setup but I don't really mind, I just want a streamlined and organised experience.

He somehow made it part library, wiki, gallery, database, and media player all in one. I'm not sure if he's a regular but he does drop in from time to time with updates on his setup, tips and advice, etc
Stash and other media library/organisers/players exist but none with the level of freedom of Obsidian which itself is technically "just" a notetaking program. serious code wizards could probably automate a lot of it but I think he inputs most of the stuff manually

Maybe moving isn't the right word, I've tried a couple of those managers before organizing my stuff and ultimately used Jellyfin. I'm not sure about the exact reason but I think I had some problems while using Stash with multiple HDDs that I occasionally connect and disconnect to my PC.
