Aoko probably reasoned along the same line after Shiki demonstrated his ability and spoke of his eyes. Touko's glasses generically working on mystic eyes is one thing, Aoko seems to have worked some magic on them as well. That said, neither seemed to really be an authority on them. They wouldn't understand them as well as Shiki or more than in a theoretical sense.

Both. Personally, I believe it was originally a being, however, with the decline of AoG, it receeded to the reverse, afterwards, the new foundation of magecraft ennacted "God" as a concept that makes sure they still have believers, a baseline of their system, if you will.

I don't, personally. From what we know of the lore, he did nothing in the past, when Veber attacked, had no actual call on the happenings of the planet (for example, his opinion wasn't considered when Crimson Moon was accepted in the planet) and had to share the world (everyone had their own layers, but still, he still played by the same rules) with the other gods.
The only thing to suggest he is different is the current magical system, but that is very ambiguous into whether or not it involves him.

But, in regards to Islam... well, I'm going to be honest with you, it depends on what Nasu thinks.
If he interprets (or just plain doesn't know) Alah and God to be the same, then it will just be the same entity, and it was at best altered by the big amount of believers.
If he doesn't, then it will be two different gods with the same origin (like Siegfried and Sigurd).
There's also the fact that we never saw if Islam shares any of the magecraft pertaining to the holy church, or if they ever managed to enjoy divine rights, since their religion might have come too close to the end of AoG.
