In eraMegaten, is it possible to get Affection/Trust for non-combatant characters without sexual training? The wiki section for eraMegaten says to turn on those options which I have, but then it says to get Loyalty points via combat. Which as far as I can tell is a contradiction because you can't bring non-combatants along in your combat party. Loyalty gain via Interact is extremely slow and can only be done once per day as well.

Further to this, for characters that get thrown into your 'jail' by default (and thus refusing to do restaurant/concert jobs as well), is the only way to make them usable via sexual training?

While eraMegaten is at its base still a slave-training game, given the huge scope of it I feel like there should be more options to, if you so choose, to do your Phantom work your own way even if it takes a little bit more time while costing money and/or macca. Kind of a sort of 'you're already in my jail but if you work for me I don't do anything to you', like (You) seems to be able to do so for a whole bunch of other characters. Maybe slap on a bigger Loyalty amount needed to have them finally Trust you?

It looks to be a special talent that's only available to four characters, who can gain it through their unique events, rather than being a generic trait you can get on anyone.
Only Hatate, Nazrin, Eiki, and Byakuren seem to be able to obtain it without cheating, though I don't know what the exact conditions are.

There's a couple of unique talents that are only really used for a handful of characters, like Kaguya's 【Blind Devotion】 or Hatate turning into a 【Slut】. There's a bunch of special traits hardcoded to particular characters into the Scouter, too, such as Akyuu getting 【Child of Maire】(sic), or Satori and Koishi getting 【Satori】, even though it's not implemented as an actual race like most of the other Youkai races.
Funnily enough, Kaguya is also hardcoded to get the multiplier from 【Beautiful】, even though the talent is otherwise unused (and Kaguya herself doesn't even have it). She'd get the bonus even if you were to cheat 【Ugly】 onto her.

I looked into it, and it looks like it just checks your raw music skill against their fucking combat skill, of all things (modified by one point in your favour if they're in a good mood), and since most banquets involve Reimu, you're very likely to get at least one rock thrown at you if you don't have S-rank Music.
There's not even a dice roll or anything, if you fail this check, they immediately throw a rock at you. You don't get any benefit from [Musical Knowledge] or [Perfect Pitch] either, nor is it modified by your relationship to them.

I think this entire segment is due for a rewrite. I might even do it myself, if only to make these performances actually worth doing.
