I’ve been going insane in trying to do the once quests. Especially the ones that I’m near completing. I’ve recently acquired Ashigara, now all I need is Nachi for the four Myoukou-Class heavy cruiser sisters quest and all I need is Kinugasa to form the 6th cruiser division. But they elude me. The only good thing that ever came of this is that I managed to get Shouhou somehow.

I'm having a lot of trouble with chipping E5-4 and can't seem to get more than 200-300 HP shaved off every time.
Is there anything I can improve? Copied the fleet from 2chan.
The secondaries on the BBs seem counterproductive so far, leading them to do secondary cut-ins that only hit for 80 damage, maybe I should remove them and just use SPFs on the big slots to be able to use a Saiun on Junyou.

I did use a budget support consisting of Warspite and Gangut. But the boss was cancer so I wanted to squeeze every last bit of firepower I could. With heaver ships, I could reach damage cap with only 2 guns and could thus use more radars. Node support is still budget though.

Secondaries shouldn't hurt you too much since the boss doesn't really take a lot of damage outside of touch anyway. Since you're also never getting any spotting outside of the boss, they also very mildly help your pass rate there.

If Yahagi isn't ASW modded, you'd be better served giving her an extra torp instead of a sonar.

Yukikaze should be able to make much better use of the torp lookouts on Yahagi. You can replace that slot with either the desron command center or regular lookouts.

Switch out Mogami's gun for a star shell. If you're giving her the big flashlight, you're not expecting her to do damage anyway.

But ultimately, your chips are expected to swing wildly, so try not to let it bother you too much if you get some bad runs.

My fuel was at zero before I even used support. I only started using support the moment I finished debuffing. The reason I fucking switched in the first place was because I was struggling on LD using lighter fleets on this gay map. In a nutshell, KCCP uses 8080 by default which interferes with a KDE service, so the first thing you would have to do is to change the port for KCCP and SwitchyOmega. If you're sending 3 bases to boss, you can change out Nissin for Akitsushima for repairs, or any SPF CL for ASW assists. 510 or so air control is enough to hit AS on boss and AP on all route battles. If you run 2CL in the main fleet, that also gives you the option of adding Ooi to the escort.

If you're sending toukai out, then you don't need the sonars and those can be replaced with more torps. If you have one more upgraded torp, that's probably better for Yukikaze than whatever slight AA effect that gun gives her, too.
