PD's model is more based on a darknet, thus it's designed to be slow. In addition, PD requires you to have a lot of HDD space and bandwidth. It's not made for us fags at US because our internet is still fucking slow. However, it is secure (latest ver patched the vulnerability) and linux compatible through wine.

Share is fast but not so secure; see: recent crackdowns on share uploaders.

There's a lot less fakes and duplicates on PD, which makes finding files a lot easier than Share.

I got a problem with PD though, I recently tried to get back to using it but my unity size won't increase no matter what. It always hovers around 20mb in size and doesn't go above that no matter how long I leave PD on. Anyone else have this problem?

right now i'm using share 10ex2, but i still not understand how nodes work and if there is a way to automatically refresh the node list.
and, by the way, the results of my searches are not satisfactory

PD worked fine for me back in version 1.03, but I haven't been able to get the later versions to work, and I can't just go back and use an older version because it forces you to auto update before it connects to the network.

I'm forced to use PD because I never get any search results in Share. I have clusters set up, the TCP port is open, I update nodes everyday, I don't know what else to do.
