To be honest the global version seems to be far more dead now than what the JP version was when they killed it. I was also doing some research on that Kadokawa rhythm game they released since I was wondering why it was axed so soon. Well, it turns out it was doing shit right from launch. It debuted at 762 then dropped out of the ratings entirely after three days and other than a few ranks the following month it never ranked on the chart again.

You can literally only make a dumb attacker that does nothing but attack, maybe with an attached buff, or a dumb supporter who does nothing but heal and such. And that is your character. You add 3 supports to that, that only do one fucking thing. Attacker supports... attack. Maybe 1 target, maybe 2, that's about the variance you have. Support supports can either heal or do ONE simple buff (i.e. def up).

Instead of letting you at least build up 4 characters with your different skills, even if AI ends up using 3 of them, you get.. this abomination. And they can't even get the power level score right. 16k fight attempted with 18k -> dead in 4 seconds? Sure. That's definitely how this is supposed to work.

Lucky they have a relatively nice anime so people play it, I guess. Though apparently the currently running events are all not voiced, which is absolutely great when it's typical fan service events. NOT.
I mean, I don't expect the world, but any other Gacha I played at least put SOME effort into the idea of team building and synergies. Be it Heaven Burns Red, Blue Archive.. even fucking LOVE LIVE All Stars for fucks sake.

Alright, done with Assault Lily. Even after 8 or so story chapters, still nothing happens and it's boring shit. Sad "follow up" to the anime. The current events were actually better, but not voiced and temporary.

The gacha is also disgusting. Huge power difference between 4 and 5 stars and upgrading 4 to 5 stars is just a sad joke. Given the nature of the system, you also need WAY more stuff than usual, implying you need way more max rarity shit than in other games. Bad enough? There's one more tier you can upgrade to, but only SOME 5 stars can do that and they need to be fully limit broken. (aka dupes) I have no idea which ones, or if this shit is even marked in some way, but the one thing I got for free to that got like double the fucking stats, vastly overpowering anything else.
Add to that a hard on for their multi-player shit to the point you can't even do dailies without, and the way too frequent connection errors (never had that in another mobage), there's just no reason to play this.


I'm honestly surprised this didn't bomb. The gacha and gameplay are just bad. This could've been fun if done differently. Like don't have the attacks give stats, but do stats differently, so you get at least some strategy other than "use the things with the most stats". Or make the multiplayer according to how much people will spend time on it. As in optional, without designing the entire fucking game system around it, making the solo experience so much less enjoyable.
One thing I found interesting though. The game REALLY pushes you fast to a point where you can do "most" things. (including get pretty well through temporary events) Like within 3 days I got over 100k solo power. Not like that number means much, as it doesn't include max HP, so some things at 100k you can easily beat, while other things at 70k destroy you. Still, I wonder if this is even a good thing. Seeing so much of the game so fast gives you a pretty good overview over things that you probably shouldn't have. Like how insanely power creep this game is.

With all the free 5* guaranteed tickets from events and first 11-rolls, F2P can easily fill out all 7 characters with 5* cards, and the extra limit break system makes f2p cards usable in both vanguard and backline: the materials for that are easy to get and it doesn't require fully duped out cards.
