I don't think experiencing Fate before UBW is as big of a requirement as some make it out to be, especially in comparison to going from UBW to HF. Most of the lore set-ups from Fate are for HF, and the anime adaptation does an excellent job with adding a lot of elements to make it work without having experienced Saber's route. For example, in the UBW anime Gilgamesh's fight against Herc does an amazing job of establishing him as a powerhouse because Herc himself feels extremely powerful despite not being in the route much like in Fate. In the VN, much of your fear of Herc is supposed to carry over from the first route, but in the anime the inclusion of his regenerating his lives ends up establishing him rather well. When Gilg takes him out with ease, it has great impact.

Frankly, I think a lot of primaries are coping when they say that because they look at people shitting on Shirou and have to do mental hoops to explain why that is instead of just accepting "People are retarded." I do think reading the VN is the best way to go by far of course but people tend to overstate some things.

If Fate was a realistic teen drama where that sex scene occured far earlier in the story and everything afterward was about them learning to fix their issues it would have been fine, but in the context of UBW the story is about Rin helping Shirou regain his self-worth and Shirou helping Rin overcome her self-esteem issues in a broad but not any particular, focused sense. Brazil is populated by mestizos and mulattos (though they are Spanish and not Portugese racial categories, I think the terms are useful here). There are plenty of whites in the South.
