The story is overblown, the quality is inconsistent, the MC is a self-insert and everyone sucking off his dick damages their characters(this *includes* FGO originals like Mash and Romani, whose characterizations would be much better if Ritsuka did not exist, and they instead relied on each other, instead of (you) as a proxy), as they all have to be bent to adore absolute nothingness. Servants previously shown were flanderized so they could exist in chaldea, and the sheer amount of retcons and stupid shit hurts my soul.
Not only that, but it also affects the community and other IPs. It brings stuff that should be reserved to its own series (Notes) and changes in a negative manner so (you) can feel rewarded. (Although this is something that can be partially blamed on the entire of the Fate franchise at this point.)

Eh, it’s a good end to the town of Fuyuki and the characters that live there. I feel that Nasu succeeded despite his complaints since KT is a flawed work that didn’t truly fulfill its theme of appreciating the everyday life and wanting it to continue forever. It’s too short and doesn’t have enough scenes to make the reader appreciate all these characters. It also isn’t as effect as F/HA’s is since characters like Saber aren’t meant to be in Fuyuki anymore and are there to hang out with and spend these impossible moments with. KT also doesn’t have scenes of Shiki saying goodbye to characters like Arc or Ciel like he does with Saber at the school. KT is also a mess of code while F/HA is a better concept and enjoyable game in general. F/HA is fantastic that I don’t even consider it a fan disc to how high quality it is. I just treat it as a regular Fate game and VN that is even better than F/SN to me some days. The ending sequence is still one of the best endings in anything ever. The concept, writing, and music in it still makes me want to cry.

Oh I don't have anything against Arihiko, I think it'd be pretty neat actually. I'm just saying a lot of people tend to undersell Rin's importance to Shirou's character development because the romance doesn't have that much of a direct impact on the plot itself, and also because it isn't as flashy and in your face about it as the other two (though I personally find that a virtue). I think it'd be funny to see a lot of the same arguments about Rin in UBW be repeated about Satsuki because those still happen with Rin 18 years after FSN's release. I think it might sting a lot more for Sacchinfags since they've been waiting for like more than 20 years for the route. At least they won't have to do deal with people saying whatever the Satsuki equivalent of "Rin is better in HF than her own route" would theoretically be.

I don't think Arihiko will be the Archer of Satsuki's route though. With her being a vampire, I'm sure Shiki's love for her WILL have a direct impact on the plot. Nor do I see Arihiko ever having as a large a presence as Archer. I do see a lot of people liking him more than Satsuki and liking the route for that rather than the heroine.

Sorry you couldn't enjoy it. I didn't feel like Arc threatened the relationship at all. I don't think Shiki was retarded in the slightest either. It's a love triangle of course but in no uncertain terms did he fail to show his devotion and love for Ciel. And his death is, in his mind, to free Ciel from Roa. It's literally what he's thinking about as he's dying. The true route being locked behind Arc choices just reflects how it's the happy ending for everyone. Remember that Arc is integral to both Ciel and Shiki here and she essentially serves as Shiki's final boss in this route. Arc will always be unique and special to Shiki. It's how they are written. The fact that he's with Ciel here is just reinforcing the strength of Ciel's importance to him. The entire final route was Shiki trying to save Ciel, even being willing to kill if necessary. He of course opts to save Arc when he can because from the beginning he never saw her as an enemy and felt partly at fault.
