japan is super easy mode; there is english on every sign and all the big businesses have english menus. there are N6 people living there for 30+ years and are doing just fine.

renshuu is just some random app I think google playstore recommended to me after downloading anki when my pc stopped working, and honestly it's pretty chill compared to anki. The thing I like about it is that when I learn vocab, there is a sentence for every word, and I would just attempt to read the sentence, so by doing vocab you are also doing a sentence.
And kanjis's that you study will also remove the furigana.
Not gonna lie the only reason why I use renshuu is because of the cute character leveling up and gacha pull, and I really like the tool that shows the words the kanji is used in (but it's pretty hard to use).
One problem is that the kanji decks will teach you onyomi's or kunyomi's that are very rare for a beginner so you just need to skip those even though you don't know it, and I remove katakana words from vocab. And the worst part is that the renshuu decks are difficult to find or add, where some decks are made by renshuu and some are community, some decks are better than others.
There is a paywall and it is annoying since there are sentence decks that have audio but you can't do listening practice without renshuu pro (but I like using a listening deck from anki, since renshuu doesn't have a large variety of voices)
If I was made of money, I would go for wanikana and bunpro combo, personally I don't really care about my renshuu deck, I just spend like 30 minutes on it and it's easy to set it to "review" mode and to start a quiz after you already studied the deck and sometimes I skip days, when I was using anki that shit was stressful.
