Expect getting your ass kicked when you start a new floor. Also expect to get completely lost in later levels due to teleporters and no decent maps.

Just download the HCGs and play Etrian instead.

I want everybody to keep in mind that Raidy for the PC was a literal remake of the PC-98 Raidy. Meaning it's a direct copypaste of the old Raidy that was created a decade ago. Things were different back in the 90s. And it's unfair to compare an old game to next-gen games. In comparison to other 'eroge' rpgs of the 90s, Raidy was in a league of its own.

Raidy 3 on the other hand is fair game.

As far as I know, Raidy 3 isn't out yet. And Raidy 2 is still being translated. Raidy 1, on the other hand, has been fully translated into English by a professional company.

No. It's plot is not its strong point. It is after all a 90s eroge game. Raidy believe it or not was considered revolutionary for its time. I've downloaded a 3 GB torrent of PC-98 eroge games and Raidy by far was in the top 5.

It's battle system is pre-Dragon quest 5 tier. If you can play Dragon Quest, it shouldn't be a problem.
