This isnt a visual novel. The amount of text in this game is a tiny fraction of planescape tormetn which in itself is a fraction of real VNs.

Your interactions with characters are mainly spamming gifts and clearing as many conversation choices as possible back at camp.

95% of the time when your PC is talking with a NPC, and your companions speak up, the NPC doesnt even respond to them and just continues talking to the PC instead.
